I don''t think Hillary is doomed at this point. But, she needs to open up soon and voluntarily address the issues/allegations swirling around her -- like the management of the charity's contributions and the private email server -- in order to maintain a comfortable lead and win the race, in my opinion.
I won't be surprised if there's not much meat on those accusatory bones and a lot of it is trumped-up bullshit. But, Hillary's unwillingness to address the accusations head-on leads me to believe that she either fancies herself above answering to voters (which rubs me way wrong), or that there's enough meat there to choke on. Either way, the longer she waits, the better Bernie looks to Independents who'd rather veer too far to the left than be left in the dark, or stretch a little too far to the right with a moderate Republican like Kasich.
I don't see where Hillary is sticking too close to Obama's policies though, I just see her trying to re-position herself as a true Democrat. Based on what she's laid out so far, she's pitching a more aggressive path to citizenship for immigrants and gender pay equality than did Obama. And, she's already said she thinks Russia and China are big threats to U.S. security and she would have handled them differently. As for the rest of her foreign policy plans and stances, I'm anxious to hear them. I'm anxious to hear them from all of the candidates in both parties, actually. Nobody is really going there, yet.
