I had a mani/pedi today. Last one with my nail guy. I gave him a nice tip because he had always done a good job and he gave me a little container of the pink powder mixed for my shade of pink. I can take it to whoever my new nail person for them to match. Duchess will know what I mean. Anyway, as I went to leave he hugged me. He's my nail dude. Yes I like him. He is pretty cool. But I wouldn't really call him a friend. I hug my friends and family all the time. But regular people? Ah no. And I see on TV a lot where people hug when they are just meeting people. What's up with that? Boundaries people. Boundaries. What happened to them?

Did he do your toenails? Because summer is over and the only people that will see them will be the ones that cannot appreciate toenails all dressed up. I feel like that sometimes and say " Hey motherfuckers!!!!......Look, I just trimmed my damn toenails" But nobody really cares so I was just wondering what happens when a professional does them.
He ain't heavy, he's my brother.

Yes Maggot. A pedi is for the toes. I'm moving to GA. I will be wearing sandals for another month or so.

That's probably why Sally doesn't trim her bush.

Do they trim the hair off? Because I have hair on my toe knuckles and just thinking of it makes me chuckle. I would be a sucky toe fixer person, but am not experienced in toe cleaning. But I'm learning. Not like I'm looking for a second job or anything.

I'm feeling a little panicky. Movers come Friday. We leave Saturday. What if the kids hate it down there? Can I take care of Mike? Will he be happy? There is that security of him being in the nursing home. There are so many things that can happen. I really hope I'm not going to screw this up. Mike has no idea I have anxiety over this move. I don't want him to worry. I don't want the kids to worry. I need a giant Xanax.

Boys probably adjust easier than girls. That's a plus. They are involved in sports, that's another plus. Mike knows you, Ramsey. He knows your strengths and weaknesses. If he didn't think you were capable he would speak up. You got this.

I admire you and Sally for taking care of a loved one. I honestly don't know if I could be so selfless.

Major changes are always somewhat scary. If the kids are looking forward to the move, most likely they'll make it work, and adjust accordingly. As far as taking care of Mike, if you need to, you can always get a nurse's aide for a few hours day to help out, 3 or 4 times a week. No one needs to worry, including you, "things" just always seem to work themselves out in the end. Your heart is in the right place, you will make it work, you well prevail, be strong. Good luck.

( Oh yeah, and take that Xanax! hah)

Cars, we will have an aid everyday and visiting nurses. It's just daunting to think about all this.

Well then, you've got it made, no worries. You've got it covered.

Yes, change is scary, especially a major change. Before you know it, it will be Monday morning, and you'll be enjoying breakfast in you new home!!!

I'm excited and can't wait to move it. I love love love the house. We will have so much room. I am grateful that I can move and have Mike live with us. He has always looked out for me and been my best friend. Now I can take care of him. I just want to be able to do that the best I can. He doesn't deserve what has happened to him. My brother really is a good man. He has had so much grace and dignity throughout this whole ordeal. He never complains. The staff at the home all love him. I really just want him to enjoy the rest of his life as much as possible. And his kids and friends are so happy he is coming back. All the guys keep telling me they are there for whatever we need. That is such a comfort to me.

Cars, I hope you have just as much love and support for what you are going through. Your Mock family is always here. Smiley_emoticons_smile

I better stop bring mushy before Duchess either a cries or smacks me. Smiley_emoticons_wink

I saw the pictures of you new beauty, it looks amazing! I'm sure you and your's will be very happy there. (I know me and mine would be.) The fact that Mike's friends will be near will surely be a comfort to him, as well as you said a comfort to you. Bad things always seem to happen to good people, sadly this is the case here. You have to be strong for the both of you. I'm sure you will be.

Anyway, as for me, I went for my weekly blood work testing this morning, and the doc said I'm improving, so that's good news. He did say it will still be a long haul, (weekly testing, taking various meds, continually monitoring) but he feels I should get better eventually.

And as for Ms Duchess, we'll just beat her to it and just slap her on the side of her head first! hah Run1

Holy crap. I am so freakin tired. It's like I have run out of gas and am dead on the side of the road. I can't stop now though. We still have unpacking to do. I have a zillion phone calls to make. I should never have sat down.

So, aside from the cable fiasco, how's it feeling to be in a the new place?

You mostly unpacked and settled in?

I love this house! We are mostly unpacked. I just have to set up my home office and finish up the family room. I also have to unpack the china cabinet stuff but I'm not in a hurry to do that. The people down here are super nice. I moved my bank accounts down here the other day. The lady that helped me said I should apply there because I would be fun to work with. We were cracking up the whole time. We do finally have cable but the wireless isn't working right. I'm flying to NY Wednesday because I have family court Thursday and am bringing Mike home Friday. So all in all things are going well. I will send Duchess some pics to post shortly.
