Monifa Denise Sanford, 21, and Zakieya Latrice Avery, 28 - accused murderers of Avery's 1 year old and 2 year old children.
Two women who police say killed two children while performing what they thought was an exorcism have been held without bond as prosecutors in Maryland seek a psychiatric evaluation to determine whether they are mentally fit to stand trial.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sanford and Avery were indicted yesterday on on two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Avery's 18-month-old son and 2-year-old daughter and two counts of attempted first-degree murder in an attack on Avery's 5-year-old daughter and 8-year-old son.

No mention on the status of their psychiatric evaluations, but those may take a while.

^ James Paul Harris - 29, pleaded "not guilty" to murder this week. His trial is set to begin on June 23rd in Topeka, Kansas.

Harris is accused of killing 49-year-old James Gerety sometime in March or April of 2011. Gerety's remains were found a year later.

During a preliminary hearing March 14, Harris' former girlfriend, Bobbie Williams, testified that the suspect told her he shot Gerety in the stomach, tortured him for two days and then used a guitar string to sever his head.

Topeka police Detective Brian Hill testified that Williams told him during questioning that Harris kept the head in a canvas bag so he could talk to it as part of a voodoo ritual.

TWO 12-YEAR-OLD GIRLS ATTEMPT TO MURDER FRIEND

[Image: b99282655z.1_20140602232538_000_ghg6fk16.1-1.jpg]

A 12-year-old girl accused of plotting to kill a friend to curry favor with a fictional character she read stories about online shows signs of mental illness and should be in a hospital, her defense attorney said Tuesday.

The girl and another 12-year-old have been charged as adults with first-degree attempted homicide in a stabbing that nearly killed another child the same age. (HOTD: there is no minimum age for minors to be kicked from juvenile court up to adult criminal court in Wisconsin -- totally depends on the crime and the judge.)

The two girls told investigators they plotted for months to kill their friend because a character called Slenderman required them to kill someone before they could become his "proxy."

Both girls are being held at a juvenile detention center. Anthony Cotton, the attorney for one girl, said a judge rejected his request Monday to have the girl transferred to a mental health facility, but he will renew that request when she returns to court next week.

"I haven't met a lot of people who think that 11-year-olds (their ages when the plot was hatched) and fifth graders should be prosecuted in the adult system," he said.

The girls told investigators they read about Slenderman on the horror website creepypasta.wikia.com.

According to court documents, the girls lured their friend into the woods, where one girl pushed the victim down and sat on her. The girls then traded the knife back and forth between them before one of them finally tackled the victim again and began stabbing her, according to the complaint. The victim was stabbed in the back and vital organs 19 times.

One girl told a detective she understood they were going to end a life and she regretted it."The bad part of me wanted her to die, the good part of me wanted her to live," the girl told the investigator.

The other girl told detectives they both stabbed the victim. At one point that girl said she was sorry and what she did was "probably wrong."

The girls left the victim lying in the woods. She crawled to a road where a bicyclist found her lying on the sidewalk. Police arrived and she gave them the name of one of the girls who attacked her. The victim is in critical but stable condition.

Both girls were charged Monday in Waukesha County Circuit Court; they each face up to 65 years in prison if convicted. A court commissioner set bail at $500,000 cash p
er child.

^ That's Gregory Scott Hale, 37. He worked at a slaughterhouse, but was fired for stealing animal eyeballs and bones to allegedly use in satanic rituals.

^ That was Lisa Hyder, 36 (RIP). She was a mother of six, the youngest being one-year-old, and had recently been diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She reportedly struggled with alcohol addiction as well.

Hale offered to give Hyder a ride home from the liquor store a couple of weeks back; the two were strangers. She accepted. Instead, according to police records, he took her to his house, killed her, dismembered her, and then ate some of her corpse.

Lisa's family is pushing prosecutors to seek the death penalty.

Hale is jailed on $1.5 million bond and is due in court on June 23. He is charged with first degree murder and abuse of a corpse.

I'm not blaming the victim but let's be real, who the hell accepts a ride from a stranger, I think that's asking for trouble.

Yea but it's hard to be nice when a person is a drunkin mother of six. You get to a point where your sympathy cup is empty for those types of people. Not that you would wish something like this on them. But it's hard to feel sorry for them.

One of my Mockers (FQ2) once said, "I have to care all day long, I don't want to have care when I come into Mock".

Rules that apply to most of us in real life don't apply in here. What happens in Mock, stays in Mock.

Law enforcement officials have set a large perimeter around a Woodstock neighborhood as a manhunt is underway for a fugitive.

Investigators told Channel 2’s Ross Cavitt that deputies were assisting the U.S. Marshal’s Office to serve a warrant on a federal parolee at about 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Witnesses said as officers attempted to take the suspect into custody, shots were exchanged and a short vehicle chase ensued, but the suspect got away.

Now, law enforcement from several agencies have set up a perimeter in the area of North Arnold Mill Road trying to search for the suspect.

A command post has been set up at Arnold Mill Elementary School where a police helicopter is set to launch and do an aerial search of the area for the man.

So far, no one has been hurt in the incident.

Channel 2’s Ross Cavitt is at the command post working to get updates on the manhunt. Stay with WSBTV.com and Channel 2 Action News for updates on this developing story.

This is going on in my hood. I'm not the fugitive. Just sayin...

Pazuzu Illah Algarad, 35, and Amber Nicole Burch, 24, were both arrested Sunday after police executed a search warrant and found the skeletal remains of two people buried in a shallow grave in their backyard.

In 2010, Algarad was convicted on a charge of accessory after the fact in the shooting death of 30-year-old Joseph Chandler. Chandler's body was found near a river by police after his mother reported him missing that morning.

According to state records, Algarad was out on probation when the skeletal remains of two other people were found on his property last weekend.

Detectives said they don't know when or why the male suspect changed his name. The name Pazuzu comes from the mythological king of the demons of the wind.

It's not clear what prompted the search warrant, but it's being reported that Pazuzu bragged about having bones in his backyard for some time, but no one believed him.

His ex claims that Algarad, a worshiper of evil gods, told her that he picked up two prostitutes at two separate locations before he killed and ate them, burning the remains in a fire pit before burying the rest.
