The Crying Game / TRANSGENDER DISCUSSION

Probably not. He should have been allowed to wrestle with the guys like he wanted.

He looks like a dude, lives like one and is built like one. If it looks like a duck & quacks like a duck, it's a duck. Jesus. It's not like this is someone in disguise trying to get over on unsuspecting people for godssake.

State and governing athletic body rules here in TX require high school athletes to compete based on their birth certificate gender.

Through a safe harbor provision in the rules, Beggs hasn't been disqualified for steroid (testosterone) use, which she's been taking since her freshman year. Also, despite her desire to wrestle in the boys division, she never petitioned the UIL for special consideration or a waiver from the birth certificate rule. She could have petitioned at any time, but didn't.

Military Trans Ban -- Take 2

[Image: 180102_nicolas_talbott_eaf8e18e52c24a3fe...-360w.jpeg]
^ Nicolas Talbott, a 24-year-old transgender recruit from Lisbon, Ohio, said for now his enlistment process continues to advance.

Talbott remains optimistic that he will become a member of the U.S. Air Force, though the latest ban attempt is discouraging.

Late last week, the Trump administration released two documents outlining the president’s ban on transgender people serving in the military. While LGBTQ-rights advocates say this new measure is even more discriminatory than the now-defunct “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy, they also note that recent court rulings prevent the ban from actually taking effect.

The new Trump administration report states “nothing in this policy precludes service by transgender persons who do not have a history or diagnosis of gender dysphoria and are willing and able to meet all standards that apply to their biological sex.”

To that........Shannon Minter, legal director of the National Center for Lesbian Rights (NCLR), disagreed and stated that such a policy "means you can’t be transgender. This is worse than ‘don't ask, don't tell’ in its justification … It would be as though the government had tried to justify the DADT policy by saying that you can serve in the military if you say you will stop being gay.”

So far, the courts have denied attempts by the Trump administration to ban transgenders from service. I don't think this attempt will succeed either, but we'll see.

I don't want it to succeed. The majority of Americans don't want it to succeed.

They have their own special unit anyway, who cares?

I don't see why not men and women sleep in separate barracks.
