Happy Halloween Bitch Flakes . . .
#1
. . . So . . . . are you ready for all the little goblins, ghosts, and monsters banging on your door tonight?

Years ago, we always had non stop trick or treater's banging on our door from 6 pm till around 10 pm.

Over the years, sadly that has now dwindled down to around 20 or so T or T's for all night!

So has it changed in your area?

We get them driven in from the hood, weeknights usually around 75 and weekends 100+. First time in 20 years I contemplated not doing it. Second Halloween being an empty nester...

We don't get that many kids because this is a cul-de-sac off a side road so nobody comes down here. We use to have a lot of kids around this area, but all the same people still live here and all of our kids grew up and are in college now. The only kids on this street now are my daughter, a two year old across the street and some people with two boys who are renting the house next door temporarily until their new house is built.

Registered sex offenders get more trick or treaters than I do.

What the hell am I going to do with all these apples and razor blades?

So we have a 40 piece bag of chocolate candy bars, and if we only get 20 or less T & T's that means we get the rest! hah

Me neither. We didn't hand out candy for many years down in Hoosick Falls and I don't know my neighbors on this street and in the apartment building here in Watervliet. We've been here since April. The friendliest person we've met is our landlord and the food delivery guys.

They came in waves, I scared about 8 kids so they ran off my porch and 3 teenagers wanted a selfie with me,,,,,,,,,,,Jack the wolf.

We had more kids than I expected. I left the bowl on the porch while I took my daughter out trick or treating and it was wiped clean. I think some teenagers were the main ones that took it all. My husband was home, but he's a grumpy stoned fuck and won't answer the door.

I don't have much of a sweet tooth, but I bought a bag of Take 5 having never tried them before and they are really good. If I had to pick I'd say that's my favorite candy bar. Or at least a tie with Almond Joy.

Almond joys are good, paydays are almost as good.

Well the night ended with only "14" total T or T's grabbing candy!

Glad I like Milky Ways! hah

We had quite a few, 60 or so. Got a little candy left over, less than a bag.
Me and the room mates got dressed up and hung out on the porch to deal with the kids
Was a fun night

That's how I would do it if the kids came out here. I think it would be so much fun to be in costume and have everything decorated in a spooky fashion!

Had exactly 60, first time I actually counted by writing it down. Lot's of older kids but all were respectful and courteous.

I find with my boy grown I no longer care about holidays per se. Never really did all that much. But I made sure to celebrate a little something with him for his sake.
Thank god I am oblivious to the opinions of others while caught in the blinding splendor of my own cleverness.
