Okay so I have to share what happened with Thanksgiving. I made the sweet potatoes, they were fucking good! And then I added the marshmallows, not enough tho, took them out of the oven, put aluminum foil over the pan, put the pan in the travel bag AND PUT THE BAG of marshmallows on top of that with plans to add more once I got to the house.

Well the aluminum foil smashed against the marshmallows and basically they were all gone by the time I got there. LOL I showed the lady of the house my extra bag and asked if we should put more on and throw them in the oven. Well, she was busy with the turkey and she told me some story about how one of the times she had to travel in this valley for Tday and the turkey drippings spilled all over the car.
So, no, I couldn't put the dish back in the oven. LOL. So I just put it there with the rest of them.

The other 2 sweet potato dishes were great and all the food was great. There were 3 turkeys, a ham and lots of side dishes, some desserts and hores doerves however you spell it.
I sat with a family that had kids, we played games I barely talked with anyone else.

And so now I have a ton of sweet potato left over and I think I am going to make patties out of them. I"ll have to freeze them if I don't eat it all. WTF OMG. I wish I had turkey leftovers.

There is a fine line between juuuuust enough heat to melt them a little & melting them into nothing-ness. I have never been successful in straddling that line.
