At least wear the patch and give them a heads-up (and a frown, if you're having a really bad day) before your bad ass starts wailing. They don't stand a chance against an intimidating stud like you!! 109

Are you feeling sufficiently built up, cupcake?

Well thanks for stroking my . . . um ego. Yes I now can put my superman cape on and wear it with pride, but not that gay pride shit. You have made my day, pumpkin butter.

And therein lies the problem. Luckily there are laws to protect others from how much you don't.

And what if she started running her pie hole about how her sons legs were blown off in a war that she felt was unjustified?

I think most people who would burn a flag out in public are just attention whores looking for trouble, similar to the same attention whores who have a hard time going about their own business and would assault someone over something that doesn't affect them in anyway. But you never know if the person has a deeper reason for burning the flag, like their kid was blown up in a war. It's not always just about you, FU.

I can just imagine taking a little trip back in time....

...and watching Maggot confront these protesters (*gasp*) for exercising their first amendment rights.

Maggot be all like, "Quit yer whining about feigned injustice and get outta the street, you frickin' snowflakes you -- you're blocking my path to the malt shop!!"............."Oh shit, they're coming at me!" Run1

...meanwhile, several states away.....
F.U. is crouched behind a pick up truck, ready and willing to burst into action should one of these protesters dare to offend him by disrespecting the flag.
F.U. cracks his knuckles and practices his opening confrontation spiel in the driver-side mirror, "You can roll, brother, but you CAN NOT hide -- that's right, prepare to have the fuck knocked outta ya!!" 47

Definite pie hole smash.

Fucking bitch not respecting her son's sacrifice and choice to serve.

Yup . . . definite pie hole punch.

Best served by her son or another war gimp.

As a side note: In the News this morning.

2,000 Veterans Just Arrived At Standing Rock To Form “Human Shield” Around Protesters.

Over two thousand veterans have begun arriving at the Dakota Access Pipeline protest camp in North Dakota, intending to form a “human shield” protecting the protesters from the violent militarized police force that is defending the desecrating construction company.

The protesters, which number in the thousands, have been fighting to halt the construction of a $3.8 billion oil pipeline which would desecrate lands sacred to the Standing Rock Sioux and threaten the health of local water supplies.

The police have been openly violating human rights with their intimidation tactics, setting attack dogs on protesters, sexually humiliating protesters with strip-searches and cavity exams, also using water canons, tear gas, pepper spray, and concussion grenades..
And arresting hundreds on trumped up charges.

Those remarks are coming from the person who will soon take an oath to defend our constitution and flag burning is a right protected by our first amendment. I feel like it's more bullshit from the soon to be bullshitter in chief. No one has to like it, no one has to agree with it, but as Americans you better damn well support it. That's how I feel about it.
You do realize that Hilary brought legislation to criminalize flag burning don't you?

There's a lot of disagreement among politicians, just like there is among citizens, regarding flag desecration. It's not a partisan issue. And, Hillary Clinton has always been on the hawkish side, so no surprise about the bill she sponsored a decade ago.

One vote among the Supreme Court Justices and later one vote within the Senate is all that kept flag desecration from being banned/criminalized via Constitutional Amendment or legislation.

I think conservative Supreme Court Justice Scalia and Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell got it right; neither was vying to gain politically off the issue like some other politicians at the times and they instead focused on the constitutional intent.

McConnell took a lot of heat back in 2005 when he didn't bow to popular opinion and took a classically conservative position on the amendment. He argued that Senators had to choose between protecting the flag, which is a symbol of freedom, or protecting the constitution, which is the literal source of American freedoms. He was right, in my opinion.

McConnell wrote, "The First Amendment, which protects our freedom of speech, is the most precious part of the Bill of Rights. As disgusting as the ideas expressed by those who would burn the flag are, they remain protected by the First Amendment." http://content.time.com/time/nation/arti...09,00.html

In any case, I've never seen any politician except Trump propose revoking people's citizenship for flag desecration. It's not the first time he's suggested using Americans' citizenship against them when he doesn't like something. But, it's just more bullshit on his part. It's not a change that could be accomplished by getting a lot of likes on a tweet. The Supreme Court ruling would need to be overturned and then the DOJ would need to successfully prosecute flag burners under treason laws to revoke their citizenship.
