Good! There will be more. They only use it to get jobs in the lobby industry anyways. Maybe he should get a go-fund me account like the other losers did. How low can you go is the phrase of the day.

Maggot, his security clearance was taken because he is someone who is openly critical of trump, not because he isn't worthy of it. This was a purely political move and one authoritarians use. trump is a petty, vindictive little bitch. John Brennan is an American patriot who has dedicated his life to service to his country.

The president's (former) personal attorney has just entered the FBI field office in NYC in order to surrender. He has a 4:00 PM date with a judge. It's being reported that he is a cooperating witness and there is a plea deal.

The president's former campaign chairman has been found guilty of 8 felony counts.

The president's former personal attorney has plead guilty to 8 counts, two of which directly involve the president.

Yes this was due to Robert mueller's investigation to find xillusion with Putin in the 2016 election to help Trump win. As far as I can see, none of these charges have anything to do with that. Look like Mueller is searching only one side and looking dor any crimes for any reason even if it has nothing to do with Trump or the 2016 election? Looks political

Special Counsel Mueller doesn't have anything to do with these financial crimes.

"looks political" *snorts*

Nothing? Forgive me. I was under the impression that the sole cause of the investigations was the collusion with Russia and the Trump campaign to interfere in the 2016 election.
Wasn't the judge saying that Mueller was trying to get Mannafort to compose or sing and wasn't the tape recordings of Cohen NOT the cab licence, the objective?

Looks to me that they were trying to shake down these guys in an attempt to trade time in jail off against saying something (true or false) against Trump so that come the midterms, IF the Dems win, he can suggest impeachment to the House of Representatives. Thus delegitimising Trump.....which was the goal all along.

What would you have Mueller do with crimes that were uncovered during the course of an investigation?

I'm not sure I understand where you're going with this? This is trump's campaign chairman, his lawyer is in some significant shit too and the president has been implicated as well. We shouldn't talk about this because it's not Russia relevant? Or, jeez, this is unfair because look what those awful people did, they're trying to get to trump through his people.

I love this. I hope trump is dragged from one end of the universe to the other.

LOL Parade.
Do you want a parade Duchess?! Smiley_emoticons_biggrin

I wonder how Trump is going to lie his way out of these things. He is going to say he had nothing to do with it and he is innocent and it is all fake news.
And his supporters will say, "But look at how many jobs people have!" Or whatever.

Well, maybe just a small parade to add to the celebration of today.

Agreed, his supporters won't care a bit, not even a little bit. Right now he's with a group of them in Kentucky, guess what they're talking about, guess! Secretary Clinton and they're chanting LOCK HER UP.   hah

I don't understand why anyone feels that Manafort was done wrong by prosecutors either.

Mueller's mandate was to investigate Russian interference and any crimes uncovered during that process.  That's what he did.  And, there was tons of tangible evidence that Manafort committed fraud in order to avoid paying the taxes that everyone else would have been required to pay.

It's simply how law and order works.  Investigators uncover crimes when investigating separate matters all the time.  They're required by law to pursue them or refer them to the appropriate LE.  They're not to turn a blind eye.    If investigators get tips or uncover evidence that a woman embezzled shitloads of money from her employer while investigating her boyfriend for a rape they think he may have committed, for example, they obviously don't just ignore the embezzlement.

Manafort was convicted of tax evasion he may get 30 months in jail. The other charge of campaign finance abuse will not be that bad. Many candidates have done the same thing and skated. I say 30 months because Jesse Jackson Jr. was found guilty of the same thing.

"On June 7, 2013, federal prosecutors indicated that they sought a four-year prison sentence for Jackson. On August 14, 2013, Jackson was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison, while wife Sandi was sentenced to 12 months in prison for filing false tax returns in attempt to conceal the crimes."

Some avoided jail some didn't Manafort may because he has ties to Trump and this is what the entire thing is about. Attacking anyone that has ties to Trump. Many of Trumps backers are demonized by the left The owner of Sam Addams comes to mind. I myself am glad that Manafort has been convicted as tax evasion is  and should not be taken lightly and the only thing that should be scrutinized is the penalty.

As far as Cohen is concerned Trump paid Cohen for dirt on Clinton through Cohen, Clinton used a law firm to use DNC money to fund the Steele dossier. (Which yes Duchess was started by a Republican news outlet but taken over by the Dems before they got anything)  Pretty much the same error.

Trump will be fine throughout all this at least until another mud slinging even is produced that the left can "pounce" on and "seize"

Meanwhile Trump is running the country still better than Bush, Carter, Clinton and Obama.

Lie his way out of Mannafort money laundering 10 years ago and Cohen being dodgy with cab licencs.

Sorry, can you spell out exactly what he has to lie about? Perhaps better still, you can tell me which of these things had ANYTHING to do with Trump.

Paul Mannaforr a campaign manager of a few months a few years ago got convicted of crimes nothing to do with Trump or the campaign.

Why WOULD his supporters care? What has it to do with him?

Mannafort is a scumbag and always was but no worse than many others in Washington who are not being investigated. He is only because he assisted Trump in becoming President
