BITCHFEST -- THE EXTREMISTS ON THE FAR LEFT AND FAR RIGHT
I'm working on schedules and care plans today with the news on in the background. I just turned it off.

Hearing Trump -- the leader of this country and the leader of a party which controls every branch of government -- whining again about how 'unfair' he's treated by media and showing no concern beyond himself is just too much.

He's either incapable of leading or he figures his no-matter-what devotees will run to the polls to vote for the consummate Victim In Chief as a show of support.

Man, I remember how Fox News, the most watched cable news network, used to (and still do) hammer on Obama, Clinton, Holder and others who are regular targets of Trump's vitriol.

I did/do not hear those former government leaders bitching and moaning about it incessantly in public. Now, those former government officials get bomb threats............and Trump fancies/positions himself the victim (and, no doubt, most of his followers will swallow it whole).

Trump isn't smart enough to know how his cult will react, he's just being Trump. Him whining about being the victim isn't some masterful scheme to mindbend his followers, he really does see himself as the aggrieved person in this scenario. And that's what gets me every fucking time... we've got a giant man-baby that could shit himself in public and use it to fingerpaint and his followers would mortgage their homes to buy his art. How did we get here?

According to a NYT profile piece, Cesar Sayoc is in fact Italian and Filipino.

He refused to even listen when his mother reminded Mr. Sayoc that he was Filipino and Italian, not Seminole...  https://www.nytimes.com/2018/10/27/us/ce...ule=Top%20Stories&pgtype=Homepage

I can't access it, I've apparently gone over my allotted visits even though I try to avoid the NYT.

Here's a bigger snip of the NYT piece.  We we were already aware of most the background info in the article and covered it upthread.

He styled himself as a bodybuilder, entrepreneur, member of the Seminole tribe and exotic-dance promoter in the status-hungry beachfront world of South Florida. In reality, Mr. Sayoc, a fervent supporter of President Trump who has been charged with mailing pipe bombs to prominent Democrats, was a bankrupt loner who spewed anger and spent years living in and out of a van, according to court documents and interviews with people who knew him.

He went on racist, anti-gay tirades at the Fort Lauderdale pizza shop where he worked as a night-shift deliveryman in 2017, telling his manager, a lesbian, that she and other gay people along with Democrats should all be put onto an island and then “nuked.” At a reunion event in 2015 with his college soccer team, he browbeat former team members with racist, sexist conspiracy theories.

And when Mr. Sayoc’s mother and sisters urged him to seek mental-health treatment, he furiously repelled their efforts and told his mother he hated her, said Ronald Lowy, a lawyer for the family who also represented Mr. Sayoc in a 2002 case in which he threatened to bomb an electric company during a dispute over a bill. He refused to even listen when his mother reminded Mr. Sayoc that he was Filipino and Italian, not Seminole, Mr. Lowy said.

Thanks for posting that. Reading all of that condensed into three short paragraphs hits me right in the gut.

Some people actually believe George is handing out money to the immigrants.    hah

When I come across those who do believe that I always want to tell them not to tilt their head in the shower, they'll drown.

The mass murderer who killed 11 people at the synagogue yesterday reportedly bought into the crazy conspiracy theory.  He's so far gone that he hates Trump for not being anti-immigration enough because Trump has family members who are Jewish and is so tight with Netanyahu.

The Trump-worshipping bomber who targeted 12 leaders of the Democratic party bought into the Soros' bogeyman bullshit floated by the right. Those who know Sayoc said he was anxious to be a foot soldier for white supremacists and openly longed for the days of Hitler.

And, it's not just the far right peddling such conspiracy theory crap.  President Trump suggested Soros was funding the caravan.  Lou Dobbs on Fox news had a guest who made that baseless claim late last week (saying that the State Department was owned by Soros as well), and Dobbs himself tweeted the theory and then deleted it when he came  under fire.

Republican congresspersons Gaetz and Gohmert spread it last week on Twitter and Fox too. Congressman (and wanna-be House Speaker) Kevin McCarthy tweeted that three Jewish donors to the Democratic party -- Soros, Bloomberg, Steyer -- were trying to buy elections.  He deleted that tweet today.

There are some seriously brainwashed people who worship Trump and believe the bullshit that he and his mouthpieces spout is true.

I don't see people spewing such bullshit about huge GOP donor Sheldon Adelson and other big Republican Jewish donors, thankfully.

Anyway, this has been a very sad week.  Trump and company didn't send the bombs or fire the guns used in this week's hate crimes / domestic terrorism.  But, they've fanned the flames of hate with all the rhetoric.

I hope the bullshit coming from top Republicans and the top rated conservative news station stops, but I'm not optimistic.  If the Republican party continues to propagate it and collaborate with white supremacist leaders, they'll be putting their stamp of approval on bigotry and hate as a political strategy and complicit in where it leads, as far as I'm concerned.

Of course only a brainwashed ideologue could in all sincerity confirm that there are big Jewish donors in the Republican party and Trump has Jewish Family members before stating the Republicans were colluding with white supremacist leaders

It'd be pretty blatantly dishonest, stupid and contradictory.

As much as saying that the guy who hated Trump for his Jewish family connection was a supporter? I dunno? Just more Bullshit.

Claims of lying and things being unsubstantiated are not much when coming from positions of no credibility.

George Soros is immoral he uses his money to leverage positions to hurt vast numbers of people. Whether it is shorting the market or actively supporting radical Leftists and Globalist. He does not give any more thought to this, than he does his role in helping extermination of fellow Jews in wartime.

As I acknowledged upthread, facts/logic elude some worshippers.

Nobody said Bowers was a 'supporter' of Trump or Republicans. What I did say is that he bought into the far right rhetoric and conspiracy theories about Jews dirtying up America by assisting refugees and immigrants. Those social media rants by Bowers are part of the evidence which justified charging him with federal hate crimes so quickly.

Trump has, in fact, peddled many a baseless conspiracy theory, including that Soros is behind the migrant caravan. Elected Republicans and the top rated conservative news station have also propagated that conspiracy theory.

Some leaders within the Republican party have invited known white supremacists and leaders of violent far right groups to speak at their conferences and/or have spoken at events arranged by white supremacists over the last two years. Some then apologized or expressed regret when it went public.

None of those facts is debatable without denying reality and going into conspiracy theory land. All of which is widely known, some of which has been witnessed by millions real-time, and the facts are referenced in the links provided (along with other quickly-accessible sources).

My opinions and feelings, based on those facts, are mine alone and clearly labeled as such in my posts.

Again what you state as facts is what is being widely purported as truth, but is it true?

Lots of things especially over the last year has been purported as fact aonly after much investigation found to be otherwise.
