Kenjon Barner signed with the LA Chargers this afternoon. This is starting to get really interesting.

Just checked out the details on the Foles contract. We are paying him well to step up to the plate in the event that Wentz goes down.

Barwin set the record straight regarding why he was released by the Eagles:
Speaking for the first time since his release from the Eagles on SportsRadio 94 WIP Tuesday, Barwin said his contract was going to be restructured in year five of his deal, regardless on how well he played last season.

“What people don’t understand, I signed a six-year, $36 million dollar deal that was back loaded with 18 million in the last two years,” Barwin said to Chris Carlin and Ike Reese. “So I knew, whether I was getting 10 sacks a year or five sacks, we were going to restructure at year five. That’s really what I was eluding to when I would say I would take a pay cut.

“Obviously my agent met with Howie and his staff at the combine and they were looking at a very drastic pay cut, and so we decided to go our separate ways."

I wish they could have worked it out. I've always liked him personally and professionally I thought he was very productive. After he signed his last contract I really thought he might retire an Eagle.

He probably will when he retires. That's just kind of how things work nowadays. If I had to guess who our first pick will be, I'd have to say Cook out of FSU. McCafferey will get snatched up quick as well as Fournette. So I'm thinking Cook will be available. His off field trouble doesn't really bother me because Pederson comes from the Andy Reid school of second chances. I think he'd make a great double threat RB for us. Time will tell.

Wentz has been given a list of WR's to "keep and eye on and work out with." High on the radar for the Eagles is West Virginia's Shelton Gibson. Listed at 5-11, 195 pounds, Gibson had 43 catches for 951 yards and eight touchdowns for the Mountaineers in 2016, averaging an impressive 22.1 yards per catch.

Gibson ran just a 4.5 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine, but is the prototypical deep threat at wide receiver. The Eagles could use another deep threat behind Smith, which makes Gibson someone Wentz and the Eagles will "keep and eye on" over the next month.

It's going to be fun this year, isn't it! I would so much like to go deep into the playoffs. I won't be greedy and ask for more than that.

We still need a lot to be as well rounded as we need to be. But it does appear that Pederson is building long term, which I like to see. More depth in the D secondary as well as some animals to pass rush up front. O line is a must as well to protect Wentz.

So the Raiders are headed to Vegas. That old stinky arena was getting the best of them.

We just signed Chris Long. He's one of those pass rushing animals I was wishing for.

I heard about it today, but didn't hear what the time line is. Do you know? They have to have a stadium to play in...

They will finish the 2017, 2018 and maybe the 2019 until they build this thing.

Finish 2017, 2018 and possibly 2019 where? In Oakland? Or would they drive down to the Cardinals stadium?

Also, if that casino closest to the stadium is the Rio ("L" shaped), they already have the area padded out. They rerouted the train tracks and padded it back in 2015.

Eagles just signed veteran CB Patrick Robinson to a one year deal. If he can stay healthy he would be a good "Stop-Gap" and a mentor for any rookie CB signed in the draft.

Yes in Oakland until 2019 possibly. A lot can happen until then though. I could check the Dodge report for future bids maybe.

I'd lay odds that the new digs will be ready by 2018.

It's for a 3rd alternate. Not a replacement.
