Applying for Jobs
#81
(12-07-2017, 03:42 AM)Love Child Wrote: Well the yeller has been officially gone since, well since I last wrote about it. The company has now gone to their seasonal schedule and I am working 2 days a week.
I had my interview with the city yesterday and it went well. However they won't have a decision until January. Ugh. So I actually have the time off I wanted!
However I finally feel rested and am ready to work so I am applying for seasonl jobs-one of which is the local ski slope. Fuck yeah! LOL. Easiest application I have ever filled out.

I hope you get it. I'm sure you'll make a really great local ski slope.hah

Nice things make me cry. I recieved 2 beautiful reference letters from previous employers and I don't know why I didn't ask for these sooner-they really are a confidence booster!

I never know how to deal with people who have no sense of decorum in a business atmosphere. It's very difficult to find a pleasant way to tell someone to shut the fuck up without resorting to their level.

Easy, make a lot of money and retire like I did.

Unfortunately I've always been a spender up until about 3-4 years ago, I've since changed my ways and bank way more than I ever have before. I'd love to tell everyone to kiss my fat ass, don't bother me, I'm retired.

Well you're on the right road to be able to say that, and saving lots of money is good too! Smiley_emoticons_biggrin

I won't be working in the mountains this summer, but it is for the better. Time for me to get a real job in the real world. I am still getting interviews but not hired. : ( I have an interview this week and next. I did work for a flower shop for 3 during Valentines week just to help with the rush-that was fun.

You know-that sort of job is sounding more and more what I need lately.

I have been offered a part time position with a non-profit. So now I have 2 part time jobs but they both don't add up to 40 hours a week and not enough to sustain me. Sigh.
I am still interviewing at full time places with benefits but not getting job offers. Maybe the part time gig is just what I am going to be doing right now. I need to quit trying to fit into the 9-5 M-F mold because I certainly haven't done that for a while.

I want to just sell ice cream I'm sick of working and going over all this crazy monthly bullshit. I bet I could sell at least 6 kinds of ice cream and still feel good about snow. I'm getting real close fellow Mockers......real close.
