Different cure for Insomnia . . . .
#1
s

. . . . . . People cope with insomnia in different ways, some lie in bed, staring at the ceiling.

Others go for a drive to clear their head!

That's what a "79" year old woman that was having trouble falling asleep did.

She took her Porsche Boxster GTS for a spin in the middle of the night to "clear her head".

The Porsche Boxster GTS has 330 horsepower, and can climb from 0 to 60 in under 4.7 seconds.

The Boxster reaches a top speed of 173 mph.

She cleared her head alright, She was clocked going 147 mph!!

The woman faced a judge in court where she said, she "had no idea" she was traveling that fast.

She was fined $4,500, was also banned from driving for three months.

She sure was flying low at 147, as the fastest I ever went in my XKE was 130, and although it's
top speed was 160, I didn't dare go for it, it felt like it was starting to float at 130!

(Oh yeah, I didn't have insomnia, I was trying out the Jag's new clutch at 2 am on I95)

So, what's the fastest you have ever gone, and in what?

Around 125 or so. I was a teenager and had shit for brains. I dated a guy for a couple years who liked old, tricked out cars and his was a '69 RoadRunner. He used to race 14 mile with other guys who liked their own old, tricked out cars too. We were so lucky we never got hurt or worse. When this car would reach a certain speed it got smooth like we were flying. Now that I'm remembering this I have all these memories I haven't even thought about in a looong time. When I read Cars say he felt like it started to float I know exactly what he means. As I type this I am mentally thanking God for letting me live. hah Goddamn that was some stupid, irresponsible shit to do. I don't recall ever being scared doing that. Fear is learned.
