25 reasons why the left hates Trump

He promised to make it financially beneficial for U.S. companies to continue or come back to manufacturing in the U.S. to win support from blue collar workers and manufacturing companies.

As a result of his recent tariffs, however, Harley Davidson is creating a manufacturing facility in Europe. The company simply can't afford to eat the extra $2,200 per bike and the EU consumers won't bear such a high downstream price increase (according to the company).

trump isn't happy with Harley Davidson, not one little bit.

Harley Davidson CEO Matthew S Levatich says:

"Our decision to move some of our operations is 100% based on President Trumps tariffs. Mr. Trump knows nothing about economics and even less about trade. The man is a moron."

^ Once again, Trump interfering in private business and making petty/vindictive public statements.

I lean more conservative than liberal when it comes to governmental interference into private business, which typically had me supporting Republican policies and stances on that front.

Now, on a regular basis, President Trump is interfering, threatening, and damaging private businesses and their employees who won't give up their own principles and sacrifice their own bottom lines to appease him. And, Republicans in Congress are mostly fucking silent about it -- some of them even supporting it.

I very much hope the Dems take back majority control of the House and/or Senate in November so there is at least some check on Donald Trump.

That wouldn't stop him from continuing with his petty vindictiveness and idiotic tweets, but it would make it harder for him to turn his petty and vindictive goals into legislation.................... UNLESS he just keeps signing Executive Orders at a high rate and bypassing Congress.

When Donald Trump was a citizen and a candidate, he, Republicans in Congress, and a lot of President Trump's current worshipers hypocritically criticized Obama for using Executive Order/Action.........even when Obama was up against a Republican-majority Congress who vowed to block any legislation he supported.

Obama averaged 35 EOs per year; he and George W. Bush used EOs more sparingly than other modern day Presidents. Thus far, Trump is averaging 54 per year, and his party controls both houses of Congress. http://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/data/orders.php

That interference, the blatant hypocrisy, the non-stop use of dishonest propaganda, and the total abandonment of principles relating to smaller government and fiscal conservatism by Trump's Republican party are among the reasons it's becoming increasingly more difficult for me to imagine voting for a Republican again. What I consider thinly veiled, and sometime even outwardly blatant, discrimination against large groups of people is another reason.

I used to have to sacrifice some of my more liberal and moderate principles when it comes to social issues to vote for Republicans (with whom I historically aligned more closely on business, trade and fiscal matters), and vice versa when I voted Democrat. However, today's Republican party offers very little for someone like me to get behind and much to legitimately reject.
