MID-TERM ELECTIONS
Much of that is migratory democrats escaping highly taxed states to destroy states with low taxes. Massachusetts has been working that scam for years.

If you're talking about the flip of New Hampshire's Senate and House from Republican to Democrat, that makes no sense Mags.

New Hampshire's population has only grown by 2% since 2010.

Even if 100% of that growth was attributable to people moving from Mass to NH and 100% of them were Democrats (neither of which is true), it would not account for the majority of the flips.

Democrats flipped the NH seats by a much larger margin than 2% in almost all cases. https://www.politico.com/election-result...hampshire/

And, your conspiracy theory belies the fact that the Republican governor won re-election by 8%.

It seems much more likely that a large number of independent-minded New Hampshire residents in the affected districts simply preferred the Democratic candidates and messages over those of the Republicans for the House and Senate seats, while still preferring Sununu over the Democratic gubernatorial candidate.

That's correct if you don't consider the ones that have left the state. But go ahead dream a little dream for me.

So, crafty old Massachusetts is pulling off a scam whereby it convinces Massachusetts' Dems to migrate across state lines in order to destroy lower-taxed New Hampshire............while simultaneously luring New Hampshire Republicans to higher-taxed Massachusetts?

That makes no sense either and is totally counter-intuitive.

Is that what you're peddling Mags? If not, what exactly is your migrant theory?

Basically, liberals fuck up a state, overtax and turn it into a big waste of time through corruption then move to a state that is low taxed and somewhat decent. Texas and Arizona are starting to feel the effects from the California migration now. Use, break, overtax, move, repeat. A very selfish violent bunch. Like termites or cockroaches.

Yeah, that doesn't address/explain your original conspiracy theory or your reply to my response.

It's just more of your extreme partisan rhetoric.

Anyway, if Arizona's population grows by 2% and all of the growth is attributable to Democratic Californian cockroaches migrating there..............it won't explain Arizona losing Republican seats by 8 - 15% in a number of flipped districts either.

I really don't mean to just pick on California New York, new Jersey Massachusetts have their own exodos going on. The polls you are talking about 2% worth are not a true figure for the dynamic that is the migration phenomena.

Yes, that is indeed a fact Mags.

People of all/no political affiliations move across states for a variety of reasons all the time.

It has nothing to do with the "Massachusetts liberal migration plot to destroy New Hampshire" conspiracy theory you floated, but  it's nonetheless a fact that domestic migration is alive and well in the U.S.A.

If I swear not to migrate to Arizona for the purpose of registering as a Democrat in order to join a liberal plot to covertly destroy the Grand Canyon state, hopefully no right-wing Arizonians who think like you will show up in the dark of the night to build a super-sized Roach Motel or a Wall around my truck!! People have been complaining about Californians moving to their states for decades, just ask Oregon. What they're forgetting to mention are all the people moving there. That's probably true for most of the desirable states.

That's true, a lot of people move to California from other states.  It's also true that for the last several years, California's outbound domestic migration has been higher than our inbound domestic migration.

California's population continues to grow anyway though, via births and non-domestic immigration.

I think you're right that a lot of people move to New York and California because they desire the experience, with a plan to move on after a while.  It seems to happen in waves, though the high cost of living is definitely a factor contributing to outbound migration of long-term California residents too.

In any case, I've never cared about the political affiliation of people who move here from the Midwest or the South or anywhere else. We're all American citizens and free to switch states as we see fit, thankfully.

Rick Scott is really out of line, in my opinion.

He needs to calm the hell down. Florida deals with the same vote count and process delays in every major election. They need to upgrade machines and reorganize on a statewide basis. It should have been done years ago. Hopefully, it will be done before 2020 so this drama can be avoided.

Anyway, pushing to have all votes verified/counted in a system plagued with outdated technology and administrative incompetence is not 'fraud' or 'stealing votes' or 'cheating' or anything of the sort. It's dishonest and harmful for Scott to cast doubt on election integrity with such baseless claims.

Scott has had a team he appointed from the Florida Sec of State monitoring vote casting and tallying from the start. They say there is no evidence of any voter fraud. Florida law enforcement says there is no evidence of voter fraud.

Today, a Republican-appointed judge ruled that there was no reason to grant Scott's request to move and lock up voting machines during off-hours during the recount period because there is no evidence of any fraud/wrong-doing and they're already secured in place.

The judge admonished Scott and other Republican politicians for making baseless accusations and undermining faith in election integrity unnecessarily.

I'm no fan either.

I do think Scott does a good job managing natural disasters, which is important.

But aside from that, he sucks in my eyes.

He clearly doesn't want to wait for all the votes to be counted and just wants to be declared the winner prematurely, by any means necessary. That's not fair to Florida voters nor his opponent.

I think Scott's gonna beat Nelson after all the votes are counted/verified, but I hope he loses and fails to make it to the Senate.
