MISSING / LOCATED ALIVE: JAYME CLOSS, 13 -- WISCONSIN / loca

Law Enforcement consider Jayme -- who is described as 5 feet tall, 100 pounds with green eyes and strawberry blonde hair -- endangered.

They have been desperately trying to locate her since Monday, October 15th at 1:00 a.m.

That's when a 911 call led Wisconsin sheriff’s deputies to a Barron County home where they found two parents fatally shot and their 13-year-old daughter missing.

A dispatch log that the Barron County Sheriff's Department released Friday offers a few new details from that night:

• The 911 call was placed from Jayme's mom's cell phone; the caller did not speak.

• The dispatcher "could hear a lot of yelling" during the 911 call.

• When the dispatcher called back, the cell phone went to voicemail.

• A responding officer arrived 4 minutes after the 911 call was placed and found "the door has been kicked in."

• The family dog was there when deputies arrived, and was eventually taken to a relative's home.

Over 1,000 leads and tips have been received, but none of them has reportedly panned out.

LE has stated that they have ruled out Jayme as a suspect in the murder of her parents. I have no reason whatsoever to doubt that.

But, I don't believe LE would tell the public even if they did suspect Jayme was involved; they just want to find her as quickly as possible.

LE continues to implore the public to call in any information or suspicious behavior related to Jayme's disappearance or the shooting deaths of her parents.

^The murdered parents: Denise and James Closs.  Rest in peace.

Police believe that James was shot first and that Denise barricaded herself in the bathroom and called 911.

The Closs's were reported to have a close relationship with their daughter.

Denise's relatives told FOX that she was the 'family angel', always helping others.

As of today, Jayme was pushed up to #1 on the FBI's missing person list.

^ The Closs home / crime scene.

LE says they don't know if this was a random crime or if one or more of the family was targeted.

I wonder if she has a secret older boyfriend. Her phone logs would probably show that though.

^ That's a possibility Biggie. It wouldn't be the first such parental murder.

If Jayme had her own phone, I bet you're right and LE has already accessed the records from her provider.

LE should also be all over any computers in the home and the parents' phone records.

But, they're not releasing much at all about their investigation, other than details of their search for Jayme and pleas for tips/leads.

Personally, I think it's highly unlikely that a crime of this nature was random. LE found the door kicked in, but they haven't indicated that there was a robbery (and whoever committed the murders was gone within 4 minutes of Mrs. Closs's 911 call).

New Leads / Search Heats Up

Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald asked the public at a news conference Monday to call in with tips about a red or orange Dodge Challenger and a black Ford Edge or Acura MDX sport utility vehicle.

[Image: Jayme+Closs+vehicles+of+interest+VERSION...222018.jpg]

Experts reviewed video from businesses and private homes in the area to narrow the possible vehicles that were seen in the area, but they were not able to ascertain the license plate numbers.

In addition, LE is asking for community volunteers to join the search.

They are asking about 2,000 volunteers (2/3 of the town's population) to walk specific areas in or around the crime scene  looking for anything and everything that may be of evidentiary value that may be related to the incident.

Thankfully, Jayme has been found alive three months after she disappeared from the family home where her parents had just been shot to death.

I'm curious to learn more details as they're uncovered.

Below is the Facebook notification posted tonight by the Barron County Sheriff's Department.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jayme Closs has been located.

On Thursday evening the Barron County Sheriff’s Department was notified by the Douglas CO WI Sheriff’s Department that they had located Jayme Closs alive.
Shortly after this a suspect was taken into custody in regards to this case. We do not any other details at this time as this is a very fluid and active investigation. We will not be answering any questions or taking calls on this tonight.

We are planning a press briefing approximately 10 am tomorrow at the Sheriff’s Department in Barron. We are receiving support from the FBI and WI DCI agents as this investigation continues.

We want to thank the Douglas Co Sheriff’s Department and agencies assisting them tonight. We also want to thank all the Law Enforcement agencies across the state and county that have assisted us in this case. We also could not have endured this case without the support of the public and I want to thank them for all the support and help.

Finally we want to especially thank the family for their support and patience while this case was ongoing. We promised to bring Jayme home and tonight we get to fulfill that promise. From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU!

This case has been very trying on the family so please respect their privacy and we reunite them later tonight.

Sheriff Fitzgerald

As I understand it, Jayme escaped while her captor was out of the house.

She approached a woman who was walking her dog and told her to call the police because she'd been kidnapped by a person who killed her parents.  The dog walker went to a nearby house and Jayme was taken inside where she played with the family dog while the police were dispatched.

^ This is the piece of shit who is charged with killing Jayme's parents in order to abduct Jayme.

LE believes Jake Patterson, 21, targeted Jayme and planned the abduction for some time.  They don't believe Jayme knew Patterson prior to the murder/kidnapping, but there aren't a lot of details available to the public yet.  Since Jayme is a minor, there may not be many details released for some time.

I'm so glad Jayme survived and escaped.  She was checked at the hospital last night and is now reunited with her aunt.  I sure hope she's as strong as Abigail Hernandez and can help LE put Patterson away for good.

I saw that.  Jayme's parents worked at the local Jennie-O turkey processing plant for 27 years.

Piece-of-shit Patterson worked there for one day and quit.  LE doesn't believe that has anything to do with the murder/kidnapping case at this point, but it's really early in the investigation.

After Jayme escaped, Jeanne Nutter (bottom right)  saw her coming out of the woods, skinny and dirty, and recognized the missing 13-year-old.

Nutter took Jayme to the nearby home of Kristin and Peter Kasinskas (bottom left) who immediately called 911.  They also armed themselves in case Patterson showed up at their home.

Jayme described Patterson's car to police.  Patterson had been driving around hunting for Jayme when police apprehended and arrested him.

Anyway, it's good to see Jayme smiling.  LE is in the process of interviewing her to find out what transpired during her 88 days in captivity.

I don't like the salacious caption, but the photo collage provides a good view into the cabin in the Wisconsin woods where Jayme was hidden for 88 days.

The middle collage photo shows the basement bedroom where LE believes Patterson imprisoned Jayme.  :(

LE hasn't said whether they believe Jayme was sexually assaulted.  But, that's usually the motive in such cases.

Patterson was unemployed and had no criminal record in Wisconsin at the time of his arrest.

He is set to appear in court today and is being charged with two counts of intentional murder and one count of kidnapping.

I sure hope her aunt gets her some therapy. Some people don't believe in that kind of thing at all.

^  Oh man, it's a fucking horrifying story alright.

Jake Patterson is one monstrous freak.

Just like with that freak, Nathaniel Kirby, who abducted Abigail Hernandez in New Hampshire..........Patterson got fixated on a young girl he saw at a bus stop and stole her from her family.

Patterson's even worse than Kirby though, in that he casually and brutally murdered her parents just to get a hold of Jayme.  He probably never would have let her go.

Jayme's a very brave girl.  She had to be as scared as can be when deciding to attempt an escape.  She knew the consequences if Patterson caught her.

Anyway, I too hope her relatives make sure she gets good counselling and professional support to help her cope with the insanely traumatic ordeal she suffered.
