That sucks Clang.  Hoping your dad is feeling much better soon.

I'm sorry to read that, Clang. That must have been so scary of all of you. Does your dad have congestive heart failure? I ask because someone I love has that and when she doesn't watch her sodium & liquid intake she begins to drown herself. It's awful to see someone gasping for air.

Yeah thanks. I felt like I was on Mock all day because of the family drama it created. My oldest brother and his wife were upset that we didn't visit him right away and visited him after we went to dinner with another brother. Also, they yelled at us because he arrived at the hospital covered in filth and shit which we were unable to clean up before the ambulance took him away.

My grandpa had congestive heart failure and that's what it sounded like to me too. I hope that's not the case, Clang.

Also, don't let them push him out of the hospital too quick without definite answers. They like to do that. They did that to my grandpa and I had to bring him right back the next day, that's when they discovered he was in congestive heart failure.

My sister in law texted me that he had congestive heart failure yesterday afternoon but I spoke with the doctor when I visited last night and he said they didn't know yet. Went to visit him this morning and Dad said he was still waiting on the results of the chest x-ray. He looked alot better today though so that's good. We met the care management/discharge planner today gave her my second oldest brothers number because he is the executor of the will and Healthcare proxy and she needs to talk to him about what might be best for Dad when he gets discharged. I'll keep you updated as soon as I find out more.

Sally's right Clangster, don't let "them" rush your dad's hospital stay, and send him out too soon!

Have your brother (since he's in charge) make sure they find out what your dad's problem is.

Best wishes for your dad and you as well.

Not sure. I took off personal time yesterday from work and I'm taking off today too, so me and my brother can finish cleaning the apartment before they send Dad home. If they don't put him in a nursing home, we might have visiting nurses so got to get the place clean and keep it that way. Hopefully I'll even start using the stove and make home cooked meals again.

Dad is doing better from what I hear. Things never work out the way I want to. My oldest brother and his wife aren't speaking to me and my brother. And I took off another personal day to try and clean the place before Dad gets home but have done little more than throw out a lot of garbage. I was supposed to try and get the laundry ,bathroom, and kitchen done today but can't seem to get motivated and it looks like it's about to rain.

Do you think they will discourage your dad from coming back home? Prepare yourself. They may have a different plan in mind and I'd hate to see you taken by surprise.

Would you just clean it up for christs sake, it aint that hard. I have to clean everyday of my damn life it seems like. Is that why they are not talking to you, because the place is a pig sty?

Yes, that and we might have neglected to do his laundry for a few months so he neglected to bathe himself for a few months.

It's not entirely my fault. I'm bad at adulting. I can barely take care of myself, how can I be expected to take of another human being who refused my help on a daily basis.

Well my second oldest brother is the executor/Healthcare proxy so hopefully we'll be able to get him home and get some visiting nurses to provide him the care I and my brother can't.thats why I'm trying to get the place in order before he comes home.

Ive never quit thinking about LadyCop. I just adored her. Im still very sad about
her passing and cry for all the love for life she took with her.
Death is cruel.

I thought about you but I thought you just became disinterested in Mock and moved on. I never dreamed it could have been something to do with your family. I'm so glad I didn't write and give you some sass by jokingly asking what could possibly be more important than Mock. I've done that before to others in a teasing manner but I don't think I ever will again now. *cringe*

So, I'm fucked. Just found out today, Dad is going to a nursing home after he gets out. Can't afford a 3 bedroom/ $950 bucks a month apartment by myself. Got to find a new place to live. I have a place in mind, but need to check on availability. Thank God the utility bills are in my name so it should just require a few phone calls to switch services to the new place. My brother Ed is freaking out because his free ride is almost over.
