SUMMER IS ENDING
#21
It's been glorious here. The most perfect weather I've had in ages. I've been getting to ride everyday, ahhhhh.

Longer days here now, because we live near antarctica. Dogs go down to the dog beach every day.I should post a video of it, they are like crazy toddlers and it wears them out, they come home and are settled and we have peace at least in our abode.

...and mine are getting shorter & I like it a lot. The only drawback is that when it starts getting dark I start getting sleepy, I already go to bed with the chickens. Jeezus.

I have put on more weight over Easter. I have to be more active. Nothing glamourous about winter. If i want to feel cold I'll put the air con on.

Are you going to be able to go to that nice hotel for Christmas? I remember what a good time you had.

No not this year. I worked full time as a Clinical Nurse in a rehab centre here. Great job but I couldn't continue. My mother had a fall. Left alone too long unsupervised. I left that job on good terms and keep in touch and give them updates. The latest being mum losing her false teeth and a new pair has cost $1900. Not this year Duch but I have faith.

I found her other false teeth the day that I was due to pick up the new ones. I had already paid for them. Oh well she should probably have a new set as the body shrinks as we lose muscle mass and calcium.

Thank God the warm days are starting, although it is going to rain for the next 7 days. We also have daylight savings and are close to Antarctica. I was talking about this today with my mother, how the Japanese come into Australian waters and capture and kill beautiful huge Whales. I think it is a terrible sin. They do it in the name of research. Although it looks like a commercial venture that they take it back and they eat it. If Greenpeace try and protest they try and sink the boat.

hah   I'm so glad.

I don't know why that tickled my funny bone.

I have a girlfriend who had to get false teeth after being kneed by a horse and one day while she was here she removed them in the bathroom to rinse them and my water pressure blew them out of her hand. I laugh at the most inappropriate things. *sigh*

I read on the lost and found on Craigslist this morning that someone lost their upper dentures. Where would you possibly lose your dentures at and who the hell would pick them up for safe keeping until the owner is found. I guess you'd put them up at customer service along with the lost wallets and cell phones?

Summer officially ended for me last weekend, when we took the awning down, and cleaned off the back porch  (I almost cried :(   )   Other than that, my summer was awesome.   I helped my oldest step daughter out by taking the grandbrats for the summer,   I actually took them to 10 different music festivals, including a semi-quasi Rainbow fest that included naked performers (I did not know that there would be naked performers at the time, but the grandbrats took it in stride), and rounded their festival education out with a Drag Queen story hour at Rochester Pride day.     I made a shit ton of new friends, and learned how to cook vegan.   I watched people treat my special needs grandson with respect, and watched my grand daughter work a trade circle from a rock to a custom tie died  T-shirt.   Hubs actually took a week off and indulged our adventures.   ok,  Fucking. Awesome. Summer.   Probably won't ever repeat it, but so worth the time  Smiley_emoticons_smile

Made me smile reading all that! We should all be so lucky to end the season by saying what a fuckin' awesome summer it was. I worked & sweated and bitched about the humidity. I've gone riding more in the last 4 weeks than I did all summer altogether. I got high everyday though so there's that.
