I've been trying to grow asparagus for years now, I just have to find the right spot that's wet and in the shade. They will propagate on their own once they are established. They're really just ferns. Like fiddleheads.

Doesn't it take like 7 years for them to become established?

I think they can be eaten in 2 years, but for them to grow and increase it may take 7. They are cut down young before they seed if they even do, I should look them up again its been a few years since I tried again.

I thought about growing it at one time but I was actively gardening then. It got to be too much when the deer were harvesting every damn thing I planted, now I buy my produce and only plant flowers in pots around the pool deck and at my main entrance.

Aussie read about that poor girl's plight and tried to get in touch with her husband to counsel him through that trying time when the court was deciding in his favor. In truth, she was just chatting him up because she had read the hospice staff referred to him and Terri as the fruit and the vegetable.
