Family Secrets
#21
Found out just tonight that I do have a brother. Saw his FB page too. He looks just like my dad. Amazing. He has had a good life. I can't wait to meet him.

He already talked to our dad. I wonder if he knows he is on his 5th wife.

But that doesn't really matter now.

I have neices and nephews! How cool is that?

We have a lot of family secrets........from like 20-years-old to 50-years-old, I felt like every time I opened a closet, a skeleton or two fell out.

I was very close to my dad (open book) and now I'm close to my mom (closed book).  My sisters don't know all the shit I know.  I just keep my mouth shut unless there's some benefit to spilling or some detriment associated with respecting my parents' privacy.

Anyway, it's exciting that you're learning about new family members, Mirah.  Nieces and nephews are the best.  Hope it all works out great for a long time to come.

Thanks. It is getting off to an interesting start as he is super excited and posted some things on social media using pictures and tagging people. (My sister accepted his Friend Request) I did not accept the request yet because not everyone in the family knows yet. He seems to be quite an open book and he doesn't know the things about family. But he seems reasonable and understanding.

I have no desire to share things with him that don't need to be shared.

Also I haven't even been able to talk to my mom about this. She is having a hard time with it. I wish I could be in the same room w/ her and hug here.

These DNA test sites sure are opening up a lot of closed doors.

Out of three brothers i'm the only one who hasn't murdered someone and my dad killed a few in the line of duty.

That sounds really interesting Big Mark. For some reason whenever I first read that I thought you were being sarcastic. Are you often sarcastic? Is that why? Anyway I don't think you are being sarcastic as I read that now. Do you care to share more?

Just my pops, he was in Korea and then a LEO. He like to whack people in the shin with a billy club to take the fight out of them.

That works quite a bit, the shin bone has tons of nerves even though it's covered in just skin. A light tap usually puts a person down, like the radial nerve on a wrist.
He ain't heavy, he's my brother.

My blacksmith once told me that a couple miniature horses he shod had kicked him in the shins and he saw stars. It musta hurt like a mutha.
