I HAVE COMPLAINTS
#1
I have legit complaints but I don't want to voice them in a serious thread because in the grand scheme of things, particularly right now, wanting to get my nails done isn't anything at all, I know this! I can hack away at my own bangs, I do so frequently but my nails are different story. I don't dare to even pull some weeds with gloves on. What the fuck am I going to do.

Awink

Do you have any complaints that are silly & ridiculous?

I have been checking Craigs list for free stuff almost daily. Guess what I missed..........a bar in Louden gave away a keg of Bud light untapped.  Smiley_emoticons_shocked   Damn!

My niece had the cops called on her,  because she let her kids play outside in her yard.

Last week the Italian restaurant down the hill had the cops called on them,  because 3 of their employees dared to eat lunch outside at the same picnic table.

The police in my area actually had to put out a statement asking people not to call unless there's a gathering of more than 10 people.

Good for you. I follow the social distancing mostly but visit my friend's house on Saturdays for cigars, beer/liquor and watching a movie or Breaking Bad.

It was nice to get out of the house today to do some shopping and get gas and check my mail. Got a notice that the  NY Democratic primary was on April 28th, which is funny because last I heard it had been rescheduled for July.

Not at this moment, but I do have a comment about nails. Since I do customer service I like to have nice nails-but there aren't great nail salons here. So I do those stick on nails. They look great and I get so many compliments. They stay on for quite a while (I usually keep extras with me just in case though)

Why do women care about their nails so much? As long as mine are clean that's about as much thought I give to them.

I don't get it either. Even wearing nail polish bugs me, I end up peeling it off.

Because women love to match things....their underwear, dress, purse, makeup, and their nails.

I don't care when it is just me. When I am using my fingers to point to things or when people watch your hands because your counting cash, it just feels better when they look nice. I have always had bad nails-they easily chip, hang nails etc etc-and believe me I've tried all the vitamins and gel tabs and whatever is supposed to make the nails stronger. I usually just put on something plain at least to keep them looking halfway decent.
Getting pedicures is nice.

As most of you know i'm a licensed cosmetologist and will happily trade mani pedis for belly rubs.

We know how you love the belly rub, Biggie.  But, how do you feel about foot rubs, as giver and receiver?

I agree with Jules -- they ain't no big deal.

I don't like touching people's feet and don't like my feet touched anyway though.

Probably for the same reason you care about your hair not being frizzy. It's one's appearance, some care a great deal, some don't give a fuck.

That skin infection I had on my ear seemed to have gone away and now it came back last night with a vengeance. Fucking hell. I got an appointment today with a dermatologist, figured that would be less likely to be crawling with covid-19 than a regular doctor.

I don't get my nails done professionally anyway, but I can understand how it sucks not to be able to do that when it's part of your routine.

I don't really have any complaints so much as a couple of things I miss and look forward to being able to do again.

I miss going out to eat once or twice a week.  And, I miss being able to take my mom to the thrift stores and casino.  Mostly I miss hugging.

Yeah. I hear ya, kid  :(

I'm a hugger when I'm coming & going and I touch people when I'm talking to them, my friends and extended family, not just anyone.

Outside of Mock I haven't been vocal about things that I'm missing, others have it so much worse. I really feel for those who can't work right now, can't work, can't pay their bills or are paying their bills but money is dwindling by the day. It's awful out there.

Some families have never had so much togetherness and familiarity is starting to breed contempt.

Yeah, I'm big on hugging too.

I've seen some of those complaints about families being cooped together way more than usual and it breeding contempt.

Fortunately, nothing has changed in terms of the togetherness factor at our house.  So, we were already accustomed to the contempt!   Awink
