Baseball cards
#1
Years ago I bought a bunch of unopened topps mini's from 1972 I opened them and stuck them in an album. Today I have learned that they are a hot item in todays market. I never thought they would be worth anything but looking at them I found a Don Mattingly a couple of Pete Rose a few other ones one guy George Brett and a Sparky Anderson a Steve Garvey and a few others. I stuck them in an album and forgot about them but today I learned that they are a hot commodity now. Who knew?

I guess I'm gonna sell them and hopefully make a tidy profit on them. They have become the new rage.
I'm just surprised about all that as I thought it was a lost cause.
Corona does bring some surprises and this is one of them. Maybe my Yogi Berra rookie may be worth something now.

BM may remember the guy selling the unopened Topps on CU once he wanted the wrappers back but fuck him I never did that. The gum was petrified.

But at any rate baseball cards are big again.

Pete Rose! He was my parents neighbor at one time! I never met him and I don't think they did either.

I see a lot of people in our age group bemoan the fact they no longer have their card collections and when it's referred to it's always because of what they would be valued at now. I think it's awesome that you have yours, Maggot.

I always enjoy coming across stuff I've had packed away and forgotten about. Old pix are a hoot and I'm always delighted to find old letters I've tucked away. It's kinda sucky that from now on there won't be a lot of old letters to come across. Not for me, but for the generation being raised now and in the future.

Lots of athletes are. Think about it, they are coddled their entire life and get into a big paying job then think what they believe is gospel. Hollywood is the same way. Their lives are not even close to what the average person has to go through. They forget and get all weird. Then they actually believe that they have a following that will do their bidding. It's crazy but their minds are in a completely different place than a normal mind is. They forget reality after some time.

I cannot stand them for not being grounded.
