If that's the case, it's no laughing matter.

Every time I send an email it shows me a dog in a shelter or a polar bear on a very small patch of ice. WTF. I don't want to see that shit.

Maybe you should post a photo of your wife so we can all see what your idea of female perfection is. 113

Duchess, My wife is a redheaded beauty. Her photo would just make you more miserable than you already are.

It seems you have me confused with someone else, old man. Those aren't my words.

the northeast will be next...

(CNN) -- Chicago is bracing for a snow storm of historic proportions that was expected to coat the Windy City and large sections of the country's midsection in a thick blanket of snow.

Forecasters have issued a blizzard watch.

"Combined snow totals from the Monday afternoon through Wednesday may exceed a foot and a half across much of northern Illinois and far northwest Indiana," the National Weather Service said. "Snowfall rates up to 3 inches per hour will be probable at the height of the storm Tuesday night."

Some of the coldest air of the season will plummet southward and combine with another storm developing over the southern Plains, according to CNN meteorologist Sean Morris, before moving toward the northeast.

An intense surface low will develop over north Texas and pull abundant warm, moist air from the Gulf of Mexico into the frigid Arctic air diving southward into the Plains. In addition to blizzard conditions, the storm system is expected to spin off heavy snow, ice storms and tornadoes.

This storm appears to be one for the record books.

It could be one of the top 10 biggest snowstorms ever in the Windy City. The biggest snow storm in Chicago's history occurred from January 26-27, 1967 when 23 inches of snow fell on the city.

Hey LC, I think there may be some snow coming that won't make it out to you..because it is planning to rest here. There is a storm out in the Michigan area, which seems to have its sights set on us. Sue to start late tonight or tomorrow, and really dump on us by Wednesday.

I wonder how much weather people make. How the hell can one channel forecast 8"-12" total, then I turn it to TWC and it says 18"-24" total. We've never had that much snow from one storm. How can there be that big of a difference in the forecast for the same fuckin area.
Thankfully I'm in the NE corner of IN instead of the NW.

On a much brighter note...in 2 weeks I will be basking in the sunshine, stretched out on the beach in Negril. Jamaican Gold, here I come. 89

We're booked on one of the few clothing optional beaches left, other than Hedonism. <<(sp). I know my b/f will be totally naked, but I don't think I can do that. I'm still talking myself into going topless, at least once. That's where the J-Gold comes in...and all the yummy fu-fu island drinks.

A monster winter storm took aim at a third of the nation Monday, threatening to lay a potentially deadly path of heavy snow and ice from the Rockies to New England, followed by a wave of bitter, bone-rattling cold that could affect tens of millions of people.

Cities including St. Louis, Kansas City and Milwaukee could be hardest hit, with expected midweek snowfalls of up to 2 feet and drifts piled 5 to 10 feet. Even hardy Chicago could be in for its third-worst blizzard since record-keeping began.

"I wouldn't want to be on the road in open areas tomorrow night," said forecaster Tom Skilling of Chicago television station WGN. "I don't think I'd want to be driving in the city either. The fact is people die in these things. They skid off the road and go wandering around in whiteout conditions."

Warmer areas were not safe, either. The system could spawn tornadoes in parts of the South.
