As I went to bed last night it sounded like Snowmageddon was on the way.

As I type this though, the system has 'toggled' a little farther north. Instead of 10-14" we're expecting 3-6".

Thank God. Winter starting this early sucks. Temps will still be bottoming out Sunday into Monday. Highs in the upper teens.

Are you #^^**% kidding me????

That stinks MS. It seems like you were just talking about summer weather the other day.

Of the millions of sperm injected into your mother's pussy, you were the quickest?

You are no longer in the womb, friend. The competition is tougher out here.

He looks like a cheerful guy, Kid.

Are you freezing your you-know-whats off, or all curled up with the heater blasting?

I'm kinda cold even with two blankets right now, it's in the 50s here though so it could be worse. I should stop bitchin' and make coffee.

It's too early to be up on a Saturday, but the phone has already rung a couple of times. I really hate the phone at this point and find myself cussing whenever it rings, like a grumpy old hag. The text alert doesn't bother me so much though.

Yeah...way too damned cheerful. He must not have a FUCKING GARAGE FULL OF SOMEONE'S SHIT, and is able to park inside...hahahaha

I hear ya on the phone thing, sweetheart...I'm not a phone guy. How come yours isn't muted? Not curled up on couch...that's reserved for football Sundays.

And BTW....I'll come be your "blanket" Smiley_emoticons_smile

I can't mute the phone; I don't have working hours or anything like that -- available 247 (unless I have someone picking up my line for me and that's not often possible for the time being).

Sometimes it's not bad at all; other times it's a nightmare. It just depends on unpredictable factors. The early morning calls are the worst because it means employees are calling in sick last minute and I've gotta try to wake up others and arrange coverage. The middle of the night calls suck too because it usually means a serious client emergency. Usually during the day though, there's plenty of down time and I take advantage of it.

Anyway, enough of my boring stuff... So, what do you do when it's so cold outside -- do you hole up inside or what, Blanket?

I kind of hole up for the winter. Lots of skiing around here...but that's not my bag. I do enjoy a drive up to McCall Idaho. Really cool place with inner-tubing hills (I enjoy that), with little lots of little cabins one rent with outside hot tubs (or quaint little hotels)...beautiful winter setting. I'm a bit of a romantic when it comes to stuff like that.

^ I can see why you'd wanna hole up there, Kid. Beautiful place.

Unfortunately, I'm not so so sure my car will make the drive. We got about 8" F-ing inches of snow here last 2 days...and man am I missing my truck. And quite frankly, I'm not in the mood to drop $1000 on a set of all season tires right now, especially since the Pirellis (shit tires, I know) that are on there still have a lot of life left.

This is my first winter in a very long time w/o a 4WD vehicle. We got hammered with snow early this year...go figure.

Tomorrow morning warnings to watch out for "black ice"! Sucks!

I went away to visit some friends on the weekend. At 2pm Saturday it was 44C (112F) on their rear verandah. Supposed to be hotter this weekend.
