The 2018 hurricane season was the third in a consecutive series of above average & damaging hurricane seasons with 33.3 billion dollars in damages and there were 1154 tornadoes in the United States in 2018, down slightly from 1418 the year before.

The only thing that scares me more is death of a loved one. I was once sideswiped by a tornado, it wasn't a direct hit and it was the scariest thing I've ever been through. My knees knocked! Ugh, and last Spring one was in the vicinity and I had huge hail. I've never seen hail so big, I was sure windows were going to break and I was very apprehensive when I walked out to my car to check on her, I felt certain there would be damage but there wasn't. I wish I would have thought to pick up my phone and take pix of the size of the hail but it never even occurred to me like it does others.

I looked through and didn't see it there. Oh well it doesn't matter. I just know they do this everytime and scare the hell out of everyone. Not that the threat couldn't be real.

It's so difficult to predict when the cone of uncertainty covers your entire state. It's my hope that it hits land north of you so that everyone I care about down there is on the left side of it.
