I cried everyday for a week straight. I saw the second plane fly into one of the towers & while I knew what I was seeing, I literally could not comprehend it, there was a huge disconnect. I saw the people jumping to their deaths, some solo, some holding hands, it was one horror after another & I couldn't tear my eyes away from the television.

the people holding hands and leaping to certain death is what has always stayed with me also. were their last thoughts of those they loved? it's heartwrenching to think of it.

I remember talking with my brother...he said his brother in law was supposed to be on one of the planes, flying to LA on business...but his company changed plans on Monday evening, delaying it a week.

This one by Toby Keith got me from the first time I heard it.

I like the way it makes it easier to remember my anniversary but feel guilty because of it. 11 years this year..........a new record for me! :O

I was in Cyprus on holiday when this happened, saw it on the CNN news and thought it was a film or something, it took quite a while for it to sink in, even with the local Greek Cypriots not knowing what was really happening the world there seemed to stop.
