JonBenet Ramsey case...new evidence from Burke? caution! autopsy photos
#21
I know almost nothing about this case but LC, the crime scene/autopsy photos are incredible. Thanks for taking the time to post those. I'll have to go back and sneak a peek. It's kind of like having to watch a train wreck.

How about the brother? Was JonBenet sexually molested as part of her murder? What about the brother? Looks to me like he'd be more of a suspect than the parents.

Staged after the fact? You think he may have tied those knots after JonBenet was dead?

possibly, if she was nearly dead and it was clear she couldn't survive the head injury.

Did she die from the head injury or from strangulation?

strangulation.

Awink
God loving -yes. But I have no love for people who kill children- and I strongly feel that Patsy & John had something to do w/this.
It's the hint of arsenic that gives it that extra kick.

About those knots- was Burke in Boy Scouts? Was John ever in the military?

This. The mother was jealous of her daughter and all the attention she got or she found out the father was molesting her. But I have always thought the mother did it.

There sure is a lot of disagreement about the cord and the knots:

Thanks for the link Shitstorm. I immediately thought "Navy" & "boyscouts" when I saw the knots.

If I'm not mistaken, it was never proven that she was molested on a regular basis ( as if the father was molesting her) but she did apparently have a little bit of a bed wetting problem. I could be wrong though, it's been awhile since I've dug into this case.

The one question I have always wondered about is the fact that she had pineapple or somthing like that in her stomach which meant somone had to have fed her that. It barely came up in everything I read.

Hi Lady Cop...

you had said you always thought Patsy Ramsey did it in a psycho rage not meaning to...i've always thought that too...do you still believe that even with the DNA of a stranger left somewhere?

Because I've always thought reading all the details Patsy was exhausted, hadn't wrapped Christmas presents, had to fly out the next morning, and Jon Bonet peed in the bed and she flipped out...and she and john staged the rest...

just wondering if that was still your read on the case...

i DO still hold the same opinion that i have had over the years, and was not swayed by a microscopic bit of DNA that could have come from packaging of panties.

I was a teen when this happened. I was so shocked. I lived in a sheltered world where children were loved and not used as punching bags. Poor Jon Bonet. I can't imagine. I followed this case as close as I could. I remember reports that Jon Bonet still wasn't completely potty trained. She still needed help with the clean up. At 6 years old, that's just nasty. Her parents should have been focusing more on raising her than parading her around like a harlot. I still don't understand the need to treat babies like adults. If you dress them and surround them like adults, they start to get treated like adults. Sad, but true. And the show Toddlers is Tiaras is disgusting and should be banned. JMO

Lady Cop "i have always held an opinion about the case. but have a semi-open mind about it. "

Please could you just tell me your "opinion"?

Was there any history of abuse prior to jbr's death? If I got a note saying that that my child was kidnap I would call polidce like they did and search the entire house looking for my child not once, twice but many. I just can't believe she wasn't found for so long.

It's really great to get LC's take on this case. I am one of those people who trust professional guidance in these kind of areas. It's hard for us to imagine that she would be involved. I know I never thought she was. Because they seemed like nice people and she loved her little girl.

However, law enforcement are trained to detect deception and the more experienced they are the better they are at their job. For example the other day we had this patient who was wanting "pain killers" I could see it was over the top crying hysterically etc. I could just tell it wasn't right. I have worked palliative care where people can be in dire pain who didn't carry on like that. It was more a cry of an addict.

Likewise, law enforcement can see what the scenario for what it really is. Where we as civilians can't imagine that it would ever be a possibility. This is why I love watching Forensic Files on Crime channel. Because it might start with a 911 call a hysterical spouse saying someone broke in. Then they are able to follow the evidence and see a manipulative cold blooded killer. But as civilians we would just see a grieving spouse. Never getting to the truth.

I hope this case is solved one day. It was absolutely awful.

I wanna just say, I trust what LC is saying but I hope that the mother didn't do it. Although I think those kiddie pageants are stupid.
