another attack by pit bull

I won't ask what county she lives in but from the little bit of reading I did just now I see that there are breed specific laws out there and they pertain to pitbulls. It looks like your state is pretty tough on them so she may have a great deal of recourse.

This was the very first thing I thought about when I woke up this morning. Whatta horror for everyone who saw that go down :(

I didn't have enough time to look through a million different links yet. I looked on my phone but want to get on my laptop and look into it more. Most of what I saw was more towards the city laws than county. I looked at a link for livestock, but that obviously doesn't include cats. It's in Auburn (city) or Dekalb county. I won't get a chance to dig into it until late tonight or tomorrow. I am going to try and sneak away sometime today to go see her. My youngest says it will be taken care of today, no matter the laws. He doesn't want his grandma living in fear for her life. I hope they took pics of the carnage if my boys end up in court. I would think it would be legal to shoot them if they come onto her property.

Animal control won't do anything? Here they'd already have the dogs locked up and deemed dangerous animals.

There was a guy around here that shot a dog for taking his chickens there was a big hoop a la after he shot it but he won in court.
He ain't heavy, he's my brother.

One should be allowed to shoot any aggressive animal that comes onto their property. Period. I'm totally down with that.

I guess she's going to file criminal charges on the owners tomorrow. My son went down the road to talk to the dog owners and they wouldn't come to the door. He said there's only 2 now for whatever reason.
I'll keep you updated.

Thank you! I've thought about this so much. I think because it was so easy to put myself in her shoes, it wasn't a stretch to imagine going through something similar. I just feel so sorry for her :(

The dogs can be saved at a pit bull rehab. Shoot the owners.
