HAILEY DUNN, 13, missing/killed --Texas
#21
it's wrong that she was told he failed, if that's true. still, i have concerns and want to hear from the polygrapher.

city manager Kampfer further stated that not informing interviewees of the results of their polygraph tests is standard law enforcement procedure and to his knowledge, none of the people involved had been informed of the results.

she really needs a lawyer, and i'm surprised she doesn't have one yet.
i now hear Texas Equusearch has been asked in. thank goodness.

UPDATE - FRIDAY

Colorado City, Texas -

On the tenth day since 13 year old Colorado City teen, Hailey Dunn went missing, her mother admitted that both she and her boyfriend, Shawn Adkins failed polygraph tests.

Before a national audience on the Nancy Grace Show Dunn said she and Shawn did not pass lie detector tests administered to them on Wednesday.

She said Shawn refused two tests before taking a third that he failed.

Billie Dunn says she was told that Shawn failed and then immediately given one herself that she failed.

Dunn told Grace that after Shawn failed, she questioned him and told him to leave.

Adkins said he was going to Dunn, Texas to stay with relatives.

Despite at least two failed polygraph tests and the absence of Shawn Adkins, authorities have still not officially named any suspects.

Beau Berman: "How is he (Adkins) not a suspect?"

City Manager Pete Kampfer: "Well that's a good question and he may be."

this sounds more likely from my experience:

DPS Trooper Sparky Dean said three DPS operators and one FBI operator had administered polygraphs. "Information between parties is not even announced on who took the test or who did not," he said. "Even they don't have knowledge of who passed or failed."

city manager Kampfer further stated that not informing interviewees of the results of their polygraph tests is standard law enforcement procedure and to his knowledge, none of the people involved had been informed of the results.

a friend of Billie Dunn's is online asking for funds to help her out. with bank info. i don't like it, even though probably well-intentioned.

I tried to tune in to NG last night when you said the mother would be on her show but, that shrew makes it damn near impossible. She is obnoxious to her very own invited guests.

BigCountry.com just now:

Colorado City, TX— The mother of missing 13-year-old Hailey Dunn left her Colorado City home Friday evening at the request of Texas Rangers, according to KTAB's Tiffany Tatro.

Billie Dunn told Tatro she was going to answer a few questions and wouldn't be gone long.

Prior to Dunn leaving the home, authorities took away one of Billie Dunn's vehicles as well as an X-Box from the home. Law enforcement told Tatro they were looking for any clues regarding Hailey's disappearance.

boyfriend adkins has an attorney now, that only makes sense.

Saturday...the search is now going on in Dunn, a nearby town where the boyfriend lives. what bothers me is Texas Equusearch is still on stand-by, ready to come in at a moment's notice. yet they are using locals to search fields, etc. with no organization.
a knife sheath and sunglasses were found floating in a river, near boyfriend's house (his mother's house), but they could be from someone fishing. nothing ties them to Hailey.
plain-clothes went house to house yesterday, looking in basements and closets. all local registered sex offenders accounted-for. do they think she's being held? i don't.
i sincerely hope some answers come today.

"There are several areas of interest that will be explored by law enforcement officers," said Senior DPS Trooper Sparky Dean in a new release. "Some of these will be searched today and others possibly at a later date."
A LATER DATE???

Saturday, 7:00 p.m. Update:
Saturday evening, Senior Trooper Sparky Dean told KTAB's Tiffany Tatro investigators and searchers hadn't found any evidence to indicate foul play in the disappearance of Hailey Dunn.

While no one is ruling out foul play at this point, Dean said the case could still be a runaway.

i don't believe that.
but there is a lot we are not being told.

Dean says searchers hope to complete efforts in Dunn this evening and will then work their way south towards Colorado City.

this is an interesting comment.

“We haven’t found that smoking gun, that bloody knife,” Dean said.
“Everybody’s a suspect, and nobody’s a suspect,” he said.
Dean said since there has been no evidence of foul play or criminal activity, he still has hope of finding Hailey alive. A big obstacle, he said, are witnesses who have been deceptive in their answers.

from an article i have linked here:

http://www.reporternews.com/news/2011/ja...artner=RSS

A search of website publicdata.com reveals no criminal histories for Billie Jean Dunn or for Shawn Adkins. Clint Dunn, however, has multiple arrests, starting in 1994 for burglary of a building, a state jail felony. Following that are subsequent arrests in 1998 for possession of marijuana, under 2 ounces, one in March 1999 for driving with a suspended license.

He was arrested again Jan. 30, 2010, by Snyder police for possession of marijuana under 2 ounces. And he was arrested at his home Dec. 29, again for possession of marijuana under 2 ounces, and a Scurry County warrant. (warrant for what??)

In 2008, Billie Jean Dunn’s license to practice nursing in the state was revoked by the Texas Board of Nursing. According to the group’s formal charges, Dunn practiced as a vocational nurse without a license from June 1, 2007, to April 20, 2008, while employed at Cogdell Memorial Hospital in Snyder. Board records indicate her license expired May 31, 2007.

Dunn’s conduct “deceived residents, their families, fellow caregivers and the public,” who believed that her practice of nursing was in compliance with the board’s rules and regulations, according to the board’s findings. Dunn was, according to the board, given an opportunity to show compliance with state law to retain her license.

The case was heard in an open meeting in Austin on Nov. 12, 2008. Dunn did not appear, the record says.

i don't think these things have anything to do with the child being missing. but there are conflicts in stories that are concerning. when a child is missing, the TRUTH, all truth, must come out.

i have absolutely NO faith in eyewitnesses, especially when they wait so long to report. eyewitnesses are notoriously wrong.

Colorado City Police struggle with inconsistent statements, as they work to create a time line of when 13 year old Hailey Dunn went missing.

They say a new lead, from a witness who saw Hailey either Sunday December 26th, or Monday December 27th, walking on Manual Street in Colorado City with two girls could be helpful information.

They're asking those 2 unidentified girls come forward and answer questions.

Though family says she was last seen December 27th, Sunday law officials confirmed there have been inconsistencies in the families statements.

When it comes to the search, law enforcement would not release any information on their findings in the small town of Dunn, where they've concentrated their search this weekend.

Residents were out again Sunday, looking for any evidence that could point to just what happened.

a pretty damn surprising comment. he's trying to shake some people.
WHEN A FAMILY LIES UNDER THESE CIRCUMSTANCES, BIG ALARMS GO OFF. starting to remind me of the cummings crowd. [Image: 1-8-117.jpg]

BigCountry.com
Investigators say one of their biggest obstacles right now in tracking down 13-year-old Hailey Dunn has been the family and friends of the missing Colorado City girl.

"The story of some of the key players continues to change even as recently as last night," said Senior Texas DPS Trooper Sparky Dean. "It's very frustrating for law enforcement."[Image: DSCF0356.jpg]

During a news conference Sunday afternoon, Dean elaborated and pointed the finger at those closest to Hailey. "The family won't help us isolate the when and where," Dean said. "The stories of key players changed as recent as last night. The only reason we know Hailey is missing Tuesday is a phone record."

"The family has not been forthcoming in their discernment of the truth," added Dean.

Dean didn't elaborate much beyond that -- only adding that investigators still haven't found evidence of foul play. He says they continue to question people just in case this transitions into a criminal investigation. Dean added that law enforcement continues to be hopeful Hailey is hiding somewhere.

"I'm confident we'll find Hailey," said Dean. "I don't think Hailey wants to be found. I believe she's hiding. She's probably scared at this point. We're going to find her."

Dean noted that while volunteer searches have been looking through fields and wooded areas, law enforcement's primary mission has been to find Hailey "standing up."

these photos are from the boyfriend's (adkins) cousin's myspace. adkins is seated in one pic, the others are he and his cousin. this is the kind of thing Hailey's mother's boyfriend was into. draw your own conclusions. they mean nothing except he is rather immature. he also belongs to a michael myers fans site. this could be halloween stuff. i don't know.

he posted here about Hailey, until he was asked about the polygraph. his username is unconcious mind78.

Senior DPS Trooper Sparky Dean:

"At this point, we aren't positive if she went missing Sunday, Monday, or even Tuesday," Dean said during a news conference Sunday.

Dean tells KTAB News Billie Dunn was asked additional questions over the weekend by investigators. Billie Dunn also told KTAB's Tiffany Tatro that she was asked to take another polygraph test. She went on to say she's not sure if she'll take it because she's frustrated with the system. Billie Dunn claims both she and her boyfriend Shawn Adkins failed their polygraph tests last week. Investigators say they never revealed results of the testing to Dunn or Adkins.

the mom is a fool if she doesn't lawyer up now, as much as i like hearing what she says. blah blah blah

the DNA samples are routine.
but ol' Sparky is the master of doublespeak! Smiley_emoticons_fies

Investigators are following leads of "possible criminal intent" in the disappearance of Hailey Dunn, Senior DPS Trooper Sparky Dean said this morning.

This comes after Sunday's news conference in which Dean said investigators hadn't found evidence of foul play.

"I'm confident we'll find Hailey," Dean said on Sunday. "I don't think Hailey wants to be found. I believe she's hiding. She's probably scared at this point. We're going to find her."

Their primary mission has been to find Hailey "standing up," he said.

In the event she is found deceased, Hailey's parents, Clint Dunn and Billie Dunn, have submitted DNA samples, Dean confirmed. Those will be used to identify remains.

If any evidence in the case is uncovered, that will not be shared with the public, Dean said on Sunday.

The mom is a piece of shit for either not knowing when her daughter disappeared or for lying about it. I hope she is charged for something, anything, because she didn't take good care of her daughter.

just watched the mother and father on nancy grace again tonight. still too stupid to lawyer up and shut up. they are the slowest-talking hicks! in my opinion, the father, duuuh, is stoned or i'll eat my combat boots. and he has not taken a polygraph. no real explanation for that. he says he wasn't asked. i find it hard to fathom that. i also think the mother is lying. period.
a reporter stated that the Rangers feel the parents were/are druggies (as i suspected a while back) and that could skew polygraphs. WOAI News Radio reporter Michael Board said investigators feel some of the witnesses may not be credible due to a history of drug use.

"I'm a credible witness," said an emotional Billie Dunn. "I'm not a liar."
i think she IS a liar.

Sparky the Texas Ranger PIO was invited on program tonight, but declined. however, he broke the news in middle of show that now they don't think the child is a runaway. this is an about-face from just a few hours ago. nobody believed that anyway. there is for sure some gamesmanship and perhaps manipulation of main players going on here.
i have a question...BIG IF that girl ran away, WHY? what was going on? but i don't believe she ran away.

this has nothing to do with Hailey being missing, but the parents have put themselves in a position to be checked out.
it's all fair game.
it seems the father was living in HUD housing with his girlfriend, who has a new baby (she was eligible tenant of record) , and it was not disclosed to housing authority. his arrest on drug charges and an outstanding warrant has caused them to be evicted from the house.

I always hesitate to blame law enforcement but, this case appears to have been fucked up since the beginning. Also, I understand they've been very "territorial", it only makes sense to take the help that has been offered, why the hell wouldn't they? I look at them as buffoons now.

this tiny town has a small dept. that was way out of their experience/league for this type of case. at least they recognized that and called in help.
now there are 12 agencies involved! from Secret Service to FBI to Texas Rangers, etc. they are probably tripping over each other and there is probably conflict about the control of the case. who's on first?
what is desperately needed here is a joint press conference of authorities to lay out the FACTS of this case and to dispel the rumors that are absolutely nuts at this point.
