an odd choice of words?

Boston Herald
The stepfather of Celina Cass, the 11-year-old New Hampshire girl who vanished from her home five days ago, told the Herald the family is mourning while her anguished kin made a desperate plea for the safe homecoming of their “beautiful” girl.

Reached yesterday at the Canaan, Vt., motel where the family is staying, Celina’s stepfather, Wendell Noyes, said only, “Right now, we’re in the process of grieving.”

crime scene tape around house is down. red truck gone. state crime scene van is gone.
nothing new this morning so far 1000. (saturday)

there is a step-brother, looks about 19 yrs. old, Nick Noyes. i don't know anything about him yet.

LE is playing this one close to the vest.

Family still hasn't gone on TV and asked (begged) for Celina's return. They have "declined to speak" and want "absolute privacy". These are not the actions of innocent people. I am sure that LE is investigating this and just not notifying the media.

I am completely speculating now, but could the brother/uncle of Wendell be involved? Did they take Celina somewhere? Is that what the FBI and LE are looking for? Maybe a cabin or cave in the area. If Wendell knew they took her-or even aided them, there wouldn't be any sign of a struggle in the home.
One grown man can easily subdue a 95 lb. child-much less two men.

LadyCop, Maybe it's me but I wouldn't use 'grieving" unless there was no
hope at all. This has me very concerned. The Stepfather & his family are a huge red flag.

Uneducated people use uneducated communication skills.

at this point no one really knows how long the girl has really been missing, I don't really trust the family either, but focusing on them by LE could result in a less than productive investigation.

A very interesting fact i just noticed this last night/morning is that Wendell Noyes made a post at 9:11am the day his step-daughter is missing? to a lady named K M, who is from VT, last night i noticed that this post was removed?? And as well they are now not friends??? Seems a bit odd to me.

I saw that too. I noticed a lot of people had commented there and i think K deleted the post and unfriended him. Just my guess though.

a "stepbrother" (?) Kevin M. is the owner of the red truck that was taken by police. i don't know exactly who he is. what relation to whom. good information is hard to come by.

police have actually been collecting household garbage in their door-to-door canvass.

I'm sorry, I try not to jump to conclusions but I think someone in the family is involved. Too many on the stepfathers side that are perverted bastards.

heartbreaking. As others have said, too many red flags. I guess we still don't know when the last time the girl was seen by the sister? Glad the neighbor called 911. Obviously, this family isn't the most educated. My heart is breaking for Celina. Hopefully, we'll have the answers to this case very soon.
It's the hint of arsenic that gives it that extra kick.

sometimes the obvious...isn't.

i don't purvey gossip, but this 'information' has appeared in several places...as i mentioned above in post 53. supposedly there is a 'stepbrother' who is not really a stepbrother (Kevin M.) who lived in the house. a young guy. the owner of the red truck that state police took away. i don't have a full name or any verified info on him, so take it with a few grains of salt.

more horseshit:

So far, Cass’s family has not spoken publicly about her disappearance. At a candlelight vigil Friday night in the town’s park - a vigil has been held every night since Cass’s disappearance - the family stayed in the center of the crowd, friends, and neighbors forming a circle around them to protect them from the view of news cameras. WHY??

The family has hung blankets across the front porch of their home and “NO TRESPASSING’’ signs are posted to warn the TV news vans parked across the street.

LC let me know your opinion about this please. I have never heard of the family being advised not to speak, but what the hell do I know?

it's not unusual, same thing in Holly Bobo case. and others. it's so they don't inadvertently compromise the investigation with details they may know that haven't been released. and this case is zipped up tightly as we know.

further, it seems these people do not want to talk, or even be seen. for whatever their reasons might be.

Authorities planned to offer updates in the investigation at 5:30 p.m. Sunday. it's always late.

STEWARTSTOWN, N.H. (AP) — Divers are searching a pond in northern New Hampshire for any sign of an 11-year-old girl who's been missing for six days.

Jane Young of the state attorney general's office said divers were sent to Back Pond on Sunday morning. The small pond is less than a mile from Celina Cass' home in Stewartstown, where she lives with her mother and stepfather.

WMUR
WEST STEWARTSTOWN, N.H. -- The father of missing girl Celina Cass gave a plea for her to return home Sunday in a news conference.

“We are all wondering where my daughter is, and we're hoping for her safety,” said Adam Laro. HUH? DIFFERENT LAST NAME.

Laro was in the hospital when Cass disappeared, the family said.

“If she hears me now, 'Tell her daddy is OK,'” he said. “Whenever you're ready to come home, Celina, daddy will be here waiting for you.”

Laro also said he was appreciative of law enforcement's efforts in trying to locate his daughter.

Assistant Attorney General Jane Young said they are still searching by air, land and water.

WMUR monday AM August 1

WEST STEWARTSTOWN, N.H. -- "It's frustrating, it's frustrating because I don't know where she is, and I worry about her," said Adam Laro, Celina Cass’ father.

For the first time since the investigation began six days ago, Celina Cass's family is breaking their silence. Her father made a desperate and public plea for information.

"I said to my folks today, I have to say something. I can't duck behind this, this is my daughter, I've got to open my mouth. I'm hurting, and this bothers me," said Laro.

Adam Laro says just days ago, he was in a medically-induced coma. He's had heart issues his entire life. And it was in the hospital earlier this week he first learned his little girl was missing.

"I can't believe that she walked off. Somebody had to kidnap…that's the only thing I can see that's happened. She's not the type to just walk off from somewhere,” said Laro.

Investigators have been working around the clock looking for any clues surrounding Celina's sudden disappearance.

Officials on Sunday searched a pond near the home Celina was last seen in. While family friends continue a grass-roots effort to spread her picture.

Celina's father is hoping for her safe return.

"I told her on the news, that daddy will be here when you come home and I still will be," said Laro.

Celina's stepfather Wendell Noyes appears to have suffered some sort of medical issue. He was taken away in an ambulance.
