fuck. poor baby.

SENATH, MO (KAIT) – Police, FBI, and volunteers have found two pieces of physical evidence near a field south of Senath in the search for missing 3-year-old Breeann Rodriguez.

Senath Police Chief Omar Karnes told Region 8's Brandi Hodges that searches have now found a second piece of evidence they believe is connected to Rodriguez's disappearance.

Police continue to be tight lipped about the evidence found, only saying it's physical evidence and not elaborating on what was found.

The first piece of evidence was found Tuesday night around 7pm, but it was too dark to conduct any kind of search.

The second piece of evidence was found around 11:30am Wednesday morning. Police have cadaver dogs searching the area and are also conducting an aerial search by helicopter.

SENATH, MO (KAIT) – Senath Police are telling Region 8 News that the evidence found in a field south of Senath could produce DNA, but they still won't release what the evidence is.

According to Senath Police Chief Omar Karnes, they have sent the evidence to the state's crime lab to try and get DNA. Karnes said they put a rush order on the evidence, and hope to have an answer in about 2 days.

Region 8's Brandi Hodges interviewed Chief Karnes who said he thinks the evidence found is a bad sign in the investigation, but wouldn't elaborate further. Karnes also said he doesn't believe the evidence was in the field the first time it was searched.

Region 8 News also spoke with Breeann Rodriguez's parents who feel this is a positive sign that evidence is being found, and they believe Breeann is still alive and well.

Clothing, most likely. And that, as they say, is that. But then, it really isn't a surprise. Why can't people watch their children? I don't give a shit how safe you feel it is. It isn't.

There are 2 RSOs that are not far. One is into kiddie porn...that one concerns me a lot. If the stuff wasn't there when they searched before....very ominous. She won't be found outside.

"Authorities have come across three items of interest in the last 24-hours in the case of Breeann Rodriguez, 3, who went missing on Saturday.

"We have some physical items of interest," Karnes said. "[I can't elaborate] at this time exactly what they are because they are not in direct relation with the case."

Of the items, Karnes said one was found Tuesday afternoon and two were found earlier today, Wednesday, Aug. 10. Karnes said the items cannot be directly connected or directly not connected with the case at this time.

"We can't rule them out," Karnes said.

When asked what lead to the items of interest, the police official said, "Some of our searches happened upon a piece of evidence and contacted me. We secured the area and found some more."

When asked about the evidence sent to the crime lab earlier this week, Karnes said it has come back, but hasn't provided any relevant clues. He also said he is hoping to get DNA off of the newer items. "

Further down in article....

Karnes said he has not ruled out the possibility that the new clues are being planted in an attempt to mislead authorities.

"We haven't ruled that out," Karnes said. "That is why I can't elaborate on what it is [that has been found]. We don't want any false evidence placed somewhere."

Scanner went offline, but just before someone said they had news that was going to make someone really happy. I don't know if it's in any way related, but this was from people searching a cotton field....

Scanner is online, but no chatter. They went to private channel. Something may be up. Or there is a server issue....who knows.

I just cant imagine she'd be alive after several days in the elements. Not at her age. And tweets are still indicating the evidence found is not pointing to good news...but then, media still can't get shit all right about this case.

Unless she'd been held somewhere and was recently released. It's strange there is now evidence being found. Maybe it wasn't there because she wasn't there that first day...and now she just might be?

i'm grasping. and pissed they cut the scanner feed. hah.

The FBI would give no further details on what they found, but did say crews are searching south of Senath with helicopters and dog teams.

"It's not clothing and it's not the bike," said Chief Karnes.

It's back online but nothing relative to Dunklin searches at the moment. I wonder if they did take that private....it was a strange thing to have said, then silence....we will see.

There *was* something said about a white van heading west a bit earlier but it could be nothing. Sometimes these guys are cracking me up.... "For some reason, my siren just went out." "That's not good." " NO.....not it's not." so random.

i am wondering about the parents. why would someone discard/plant training wheels? a red herring?

thursday aft.

now Chief says it was training wheels found. why dispose of the training wheels??

candlelight vigil held last night.

KAIT
Senath Police Chief Omar Karnes says searchers have found two training wheels, but are not sure if they came off of Breeann's bike.

According to Karnes, one wheel was found Tuesday afternoon and the other was found on Wednesday. Both training wheels were found about two miles southeast of Senath.

Karnes stresses that the little girl is considered missing and in danger. He says he believes if Breeann was taken, she's no longer in Senath.

So far no there is no real sign of Breeann. Police Chief Omar Karnes said the newest discovery may be the first lead they've had but he feels it is taking them in circles. Breeann's parents are holding on to the belief their little girl is still alive.

I've got some theories about the training wheels, but holding off as just saw on the Nancy Grace lead-in that both parents failed polys. She will be covering the details later this hour.

LDTs certainly aren't fool proof, but sure not a good sign..

yes. i'm waiting to hear about that too. LE sure didn't release that info. i've had funny feelings about the parents for a couple days now. and i can't think of any scenario where someone would discard the training wheels only. except an attempt to misdirect.
