this is new, i need to get more information.

AFFTON, MISSOURI KTVI
Police are searching for a missing 11-year-old girl from Affton. They have issued a missing endangered person alert.

Police, family and friends are searching for 11- year- old Ashley Hedtkamp. Police say her disappearance did not warrant an amber alert because it doesn't appear foul play was involved, that she may have been abducted. <----THAT SENTENCE MAKES NO SENSE TO ME.

There are not medical or mental health issues.
The last time Ashley's grandmother saw her was at their home on Ashwell Satruday afternoon at 2 p.m. The grandmother had left the residence and when she returned home she discovered a note from Ashley saying she was going to the 7 elven which is about a block away.
Ashely is in the sixth grade the grandmother says she's never run away before. She made a plea asking Ashley to return home.

The grandmother is Ashley's guardian. The girl's father died two years ago..her mom died earlier this year. Family members won't disclose what led to their deaths.

If you have any information call police.
