The body of Dexter Williams was found curled in the fetal position in a hot tub with Arkansas weatherman Brett Cummins Oops

Police in Arkansas said Tuesday that they are investigating the death of a man found in an unfilled hot tub with a sleeping TV weatherman.

Maumelle police officers were called to the home of Christopher Barbour Monday morning where they found the body in the hot tub.

Mr Barbour, told cops that the dead man and meteorologist Brett Cummins of Little Rock station KARK, were guests at his home Sunday night for Labor Day weekend party.

Police were told that the trio was drinking and snorting drugs. Drinking too much 104
Mr Barbour said that he awoke the next morning to Cummins' loud snoring, and found the weatherman in his hot tub with the nude body of Dexter Williams lying next to him.

Williams' face was discoloured and he had with a chain around his neck - described by police as a 'dog collar.'

There were also traces of blood in the hot tub, police said.
Upon awakening, Mr Cummins became ill and vomited on the carpet. He later left the home, but returned to give his statement to police, which was not released.
Maumelle police Lt Jim Hansard said investigators haven't ruled out foul play in Williams' death.

During a Tuesday news broadcast, KARK-TV anchor Bob Clausen said: 'Our meteorologist Brett Cummins was at the home at the time of the death and we felt we should share this with you our viewers.

'Brett will not be on the air while he is mourning the loss of his friend. 96 SURE HE IS! Our thoughts naturally are with Brett and of course with the family and friends of Dexter Williams.'

I'm guessing he choked himself whilst the weather guy was giving him a blow job. I forget what it's called. Wonder what they'll put on his tombstone?

(CNN) -- The family of a man whose lifeless, naked body -- wearing a dog collar -- was found in a hot tub next to a sleeping weatherman described him Thursday as someone who was "easily influenced."

"Dex had a very loving but trusting heart," the family of victim Dexter Paul Williams, 24, said in a statement released by their lawyer, Thomas Nichols. "Anyone who knew him would agree that he was easily influenced." ie stupid.

Christopher Barbour, 36, said he awoke Monday morning in his home outside Little Rock, Arkansas, to find Williams' body at the bottom of the empty tub, his face blue and purple and a chain around his neck, a Maumelle Police Department report said.

Asleep next to the corpse was KARK meteorologist Brett Cummins, 33, who had arrived at Barbour's house with Williams on Sunday night, Barbour told police. Good night

In a statement issued on Cummins' behalf, lawyer Mark Hampton said Thursday that his client was devastated by the death of his friend. It added that Cummins was cooperating with authorities investigating the death and "looks forward to a conclusion of the inquiry, secure in his own innocence and confident that no foul play was involved."

On Sunday night, the three men had drunk and snorted illegal narcotics, though Barbour could not identify the drugs, according to a report by Officer Gregory Roussie. Around 10 p.m., Cummins and Williams moved into the hot tub, where Barbour joined them later; they continued drinking until Barbour retired for the night around 11, falling asleep on his couch in the living room, the report said.

what a surprise, he resigned. Oops

A TV weatherman who was found asleep next to the body of a dead man wearing a dog collar has resigned.

Brett Cummins announced he was quitting resignation as a meteorologist at Little Rock’s KARK through an attorney.

The TV station reported the news during its 10pm newscast on Friday.

Anchor Melissa Simas told viewers: 'Brett Cummins’s tenure at Channel 4 has ended.'

Little Rock CBS-affiliate KTHV also covered the resignation during its 10pm newscast Friday, as part of its ongoing coverage of the death of Cummins’s friend, 24-year-old Dexter Williams.

The police are still investigating what caused the death, although no criminal charges have been filed.
