The U.S. Civil War and WWI were so effin brutal.

Then, the Japanese and their atrocities not mention what the Nazi's did, during WWII.

Not sure how 'civil' the Korean War was, but Viet Nam was horrible as well.

When you look at Desert Storm (1991) it almost seemed like a bloodless takeover.

War is hell and for those of us who've never experienced it close up, I don't think we'll really ever understand.

Desert Storm was relative bloodless...unless you were on the other side. Our guys fucked up a LOT of those guys.
Not to be sneezed at Gulf War 2 and the raid on Iraq has been pretty rough too. Although nowhere near the point that WW2 and before were.
