Lupita Gonzales -1- safe. Seville, Florida

I don't like the sound of this one....

VOLUSIA COUNTY --
Volusia County deputies launch a search for a missing 1-year-old girl.

Officials said the girl, Lupiea Gonzales, was just reported missing early Saturday morning. However, investigators believe she may have been gone now for more than 24 hours. They said the manner in which the disappearance was reported to the sheriff’s office is causing investigators to suspect that there could be suspicious circumstances.

The initial call reporting Lupiea as missing originally came in to Putnam County, but was transferred to Volusia County at 4:42 a.m. after it was discovered that the child had gone missing in Seville in the extreme northwest section of Volusia.

The caller told dispatchers that he went to a party in Seville on Thursday and got drunk. He seemed confused and said he couldn’t remember much and thought he might still be drunk. But from what he could remember, there was a little girl at the party and now he doesn’t know what happened to her. The last time she was seen was Friday morning.

Numerous sheriff’s deputies along with investigators are searching for the child, while a sheriff’s office helicopter is flying over the area to help in the search. Bloodhounds also have been dispatched to the scene, and a missing child telephone alert has been sent to residents in the area. A specially-trained regional CART Team, or Child Abduction Response Team, also is responding to assist in the search.

Lupiea has black, curly hair. She was last seen near Lawrence Street in Seville, wearing a pink shirt and black or brown pants.

Anyone who spots the girl or who has information on her whereabouts is asked to call the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office at 386-736-5999. Anyone who has information and prefers to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers of Northeast Florida, toll-free, at 888-277-TIPS. Callers to Crime Stoppers can qualify for a reward of up to $1,000.

I'm confused. So is this his child, or what? Does he even have a kid?

Yes, very confusing. The fact that LE is taking it seriously makes me think there's more to the story than in this very poor write up.

VOLUSIA COUNTY --
A 1-year-old girl reported missing Saturday morning has been found safe, and her mother and a man have been arrested.

Officials said the girl, Lupita Gonzales, was reported missing early Saturday morning. However, investigators believe she may have been gone for more than 24 hours.

Gonzales was found Saturday afternoon under a bush in a field. Deputies say she appeared to be physically okay. She was taken to a hospital to be check out.

Deputies also say the man who reported her missing, Carlos Rivera, 23, was the one who told investigators the general location where he had left the child.

The initial call reporting Lupita as missing came in early Saturday morning.

The caller, now identified as Rivera, told dispatchers that he went to a party in Seville on Thursday and got drunk. He seemed confused and said he couldn’t remember much and thought he might still be drunk. But from what he could remember, there was a little girl at the party and now he doesn’t know what happened to her. The last time she was seen was Friday morning.

Deputies say the Rivera was at a party where illegal drugs were being used, and Lupita's mother, Leah Wiley, 30, was also at the party. They say Rivera walked away from the party at some point with the child, and has not explained why he left the girl in a field.

Rivera and Wiley were both arrested, with charges pending.

what the hell? stinking druggies. i can't wait for those mugshots. i hope DCF takes the child.

Authorities say Gonzalez, Rivera and Wiley were at a party Thursday where "illegal drugs were being consumed." Rivera walked away from the house where the party was being held with the child for unknown reasons. He left the girl in a field where she was later found.

oh God, did he molest her??

The Volusia County Sheriff's Office said the girl was walking and talking, and appeared to be physically OK. Officials said she was taken to a hospital for evaluation.

what did he pay this whore? 1 peso? and she was just going to leave her baby out in a field so she wouldn't have to tell she was fucking around? how was she going to explain the missing baby? this is such a sick twisted POS, at least the drunk male had the sense to report the child needed to be found. no bond on him, he had a warrant out for grand theft auto. guess he didn't want kidnapping added to that.

shitbums

WOFL - Volusia County deputies arrested a mother and the man who reported a 1-year-old child missing after finding the girl.

The Volusia County Sheriff's Office found Lupita Gonzalez at 3:20 p.m. Saturday under a bush in a field in Seville. Deputies originally called her disappearance suspicious after Carlos Rivera reported her missing Saturday at 4:42 a.m.

Deputies said Rivera and Gonzalez's mother Leah Wiley, 30, went to a party with the child Thursday night.

According to a release, Rivera told police he paid Wiley to have sex with him, but became upset when they were interrupted.

Rivera then left the party with Wiley's daughter at 7 a.m. Friday.
Investigators said Rivera abandoned the girl in a field before catching a ride back to Putnam County.

Rivera is charged with kidnapping and child abuse. He also has three open warrants for failure to appear in court on charges of grand theft, DUI and driving without a valid license.

Wiley is charged with child neglect for failing to report her daughter missing. She told police that she suspected that Rivera took her daughter, but didn't want to report her as missing because then the child's father would find out she had sex with Rivera.

DCF has taken custody of the child and Wiley's two other children.

Wow what the hell, I hope this mother never gets any of her children back what a trashy mom, and I use the term mom lightly! The guy gets pissed she won't have sex so kidnaps the baby? It could have been a lot worse so guess its a good thing he isn't a complete pervert and left the child there. poor lil girl left outside all that time, she must have been so scared :(
