#1
**Just realized i didn't post this in the Assholes In The News section. Sorry LC
This is right in my neck of the woods. Fucking coke dealers.
FYI for those who don't know: Euclid is Cleveland's closest suburb on the east. A lot of people however, would no longer classify it as a "suburb".

Two shot in Lakeshore drug bust, four arrested
Posted: 01/06/2012 By: Tina Kaufmann & Deb Lee, newsnet5.com

CLEVELAND - Four men are in custody after police stopped a multi-kilo cocaine shipment near the Cleveland-Euclid border Friday afternoon.

The first suspect was shot on Naumann Avenue in Euclid. This male was grazed on the leg by a bullet from one of the suspect's weapons. His involvement with the other suspects is under investigation.

"Officers were engaged in gunfire with the suspects," Cleveland police spokesman Sgt. Sammy Morris said. "A vehicle pursuit ensued and as a result of the pursuit, the officers were able to catch all four suspects."

The chase, which was in cars and on foot, ended on Lakeshore Boulevard in Cleveland. A second suspect, 24-year-old Chase Downey of Lexington, Kentucky, was shot in the abdomen during a confrontation with police.

The other suspects arrested are 19-year-old Francisco J. Rodriguez of Midway, Kentucky, 28-year-old John W. Campbell of Lexington, Kentucky, and a juvenile Hispanic male, possibly 16 or 17 years old according to police.

All three are being held in the Cleveland Division of Police Central Prison Unit awaiting charges, and the juvenile is being held in the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Detention Center also awaiting charges.

The Cleveland Police Narcotics Unit, Euclid Police and the Ohio Highway Patrol were all involved in the drug bust.

Morris didn't provide any details about where the cocaine was headed. He said police recovered at least two kilos of cocaine, money and weapons.

Some law enforcement agencies have previously put the street value of one kilo of cocaine as high as $100,000.

Colin McCormack was out walking his dog at about the same time that the police chase arrived on Lakeshore Boulevard and he heard the gunshots.

"It's pretty scary, but I feel safe in this neighborhood," he said. "This is definitely out of the ordinary."

The Cleveland Division of Police would like to thank the residents for their help and assistance during the apprehension of these violent males.

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Two people were shot and two others arrested Friday afternoon after a drug deal was disrupted on Naumann Avenue on Cleveland's border with Euclid off East 185th Street.

Police gave few details about the incident Friday evening. But this is what they said happened:

Shooting started on Naumann about 3:20 p.m. after the Cleveland police narcotics unit, Euclid police and State Highway Patrol officers disrupted a cocaine shipment.

There were four suspects in a home on Naumann. Gunfire was exchanged, and one man in the house was wounded.

The three other suspects jumped into a car and drove north on East 185th to Lake Shore Boulevard, where they jumped out of the car and exchanged more gunfire with officers. Another suspect was shot.

The two remaining suspects ran and were later arrested off Lake Shore.

The two suspects who were shot were taken to MetroHealth Medical Center. Their condition was unknown Friday night.

More than 40 Cleveland police officers, undercover agents and FBI agents were on the scene. Officials had blocked off Lake Shore between East 185th street and Rosecliff Road into Friday night.

I'm a little confused on whether the first person shot (shot by suspects, not police) is actually a suspect? The article refers to him as a suspect, but then the next sentence reads: His involvement with the other suspects is under investigation. Right now my guess would be he's a local and maybe he was the one buying from these kentucky MFers. One of them got mad for whatever reason and shot him in the leg. But they don't mention his name, age, or where he's from.

I can't find mention of it anywhere, but I remember on the news last night they were saying that two of the suspects, I assume the ones who weren't shot, actually ran down to, and along the beach and that police recovered some of the coke down there. The thing is, that stretch of "beach" is more like...fucking boulders/pieces of piers that wash up to the shore line, a few piers still intact and beer bottles. It'd be easier to just have jumped into the lake and hope you don't freeze than to try and run along that part of the beach. Still wondering if that's true or if the news is just making shit up.

with any luck the dealers will all shoot each other, and hopefully become better shots. Guns
as long as they don't kill the innocent citizens or police. it's not going to go away, so who gives a shit if they kill each other?
