Precious baby girl, I am so glad that she is alive though, I don't understand how some people can be so cruel to their own babies. Mothers like this need their tubes tied.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Authorities plan to file charges against a man and a woman accused of leaving 19 children ranging from 8 months to 14 years old unattended for a week in a sweltering, filthy home near Bowling Green.

The children were found Monday night in a small three-bedroom rental home near Interstate 65 by officers who were responding to a complaint from a neighbor. It was littered with dog feces and had no air conditioning, Warren County Sheriff's Detective Tim Robinson said.

"It's such an unusual circumstance to find 19 children like that, we're still putting things together right now," Robinson said.

The adults, Irving "Joe" Smith and Jackie Farah, left town on June 27 and told a neighbor to check on the kids, Robinson said. They are expected to face charges when they return.

"It looks like a blended family," Robinson said, with some of the children related to Smith and others related to Farah.

The home was a sweltering 90 degrees when officers arrived, Robinson said. Temperatures had reached 101 degrees in Bowling Green earlier that day. The children were treated at a local hospital and then placed into protective custody.

Officers also removed nine dogs and a cat from the home. They found an inch of dog feces in one of the rooms and very little food for the children, Robinson said.

"They had went to neighbors' residences at different times begging for food," he said.

Smith and Farah last week told a neighbor they had a family emergency in Michigan and had to leave, Robinson said. He said it's likely the neighbor didn't know there were so many children staying in the house.

When officers arrived, the children behaved as if they were often left alone, Robinson said.

It was "not really a surprise to just be hanging out there by themselves," Robinson said of the kids' behavior. "While certain children would be frantic -- `I need my mom' -- this wasn't happening" with these kids.

Robinson said Smith and Farah have said they are returning to speak with police, but he said that's not assured.

"Who knows when they will show up?" he said. Robinson said he police would locate them if they don't return. WELL I HOPE SO!

Jesus, it sucks to be stuck or delayed at the airport for days, but this was a moronic attempt to avoid the repercussions for failing to plan in advance. Stupid parents, they're everywhere it seems...

From CNN.com
(CNN) -- An Egyptian couple has been charged with putting their child at risk and attempted smuggling after security officers at an airport in the United Arab Emirates found their 5-month-old boy hidden in a small handbag.

Police said the baby was discovered by an X-ray screening at Sharjah International Airport as the couple was traveling through the airport.

The infant is in good condition, police said.

According to Sharjah police, the couple arrived in the UAE last Friday but were not allowed to enter the country because they didn't have a visa for the infant.

The parents remain in the UAE under police questioning.

The parents were told they had to wait two days at the airport until the visa office reopened so the boy's documents could be processed.

On Saturday, the impatient father persuaded his wife to put the baby in their hand luggage in the hope airport security wouldn't notice, police said.

"We were very surprised. This is the first time we have seen something like this," police officer Abdel Rahman Shama told CNN. "Even if you are in a desperate situation, how can you put your child in a bag?"

The parents remain in the UAE under police questioning.

I don't know anything at all about airport security there, but it takes a real winner to think they could sneak a child through security. Sheesh.

They have very high levels of security and the infant was immediately detected by x-ray screening. Picture below shows the x-ray image. Winners, for sure...

The UAE authorities said this is the first time they've seen this attempted.

There are unbelievably idiotic things done by American parents every day, as evidenced in this thread.

Friggin idiot parents, regardless of their race, imo. They're everywhere.

sickening

A journalist has tracked down a notorious female serial killer, and found she is living on a tropical island, is remarried, and has three young children, one of whom she is still breastfeeding. Karla Homolka is one of Canada's most horrific serial killers. When Karla was in her early 20s, she and her then-husband, Paul Bernardo, abducted, raped, tortured, and killed two teenage girls. They also drugged and raped Karla's own younger sister, Tammy, who died as a result of the drugs they fed her. Paul remains in prison, but Karla struck a plea deal with authorities that allowed her to serve only 12 years in prison. This is the first time it's been known that she has remarried and, shockingly, has three children.

JACKSBORO TENN. (WATE) - A young woman with severe mental disabilities who was abandoned by her mother at a Campbell County bar last week was made a ward of the state Tuesday. Her mother will not face charges.

Lynn Cameron was left by her mother at Big Orange Bar, 184 John McGhee Boulevard in Caryville, on June 28. She had no identification and could not communicate.

Investigators learned through a tip she was from Illinois and her mother, Eva Cameron, had dropped her off at the bar before driving away.

Police planned to file charges against Eva Cameron for abandoning her daughter until they learned Lynn is 19 years old.

Eva Cameron told authorities she could not and would not care for her daughter any longer.

Campbell County Circuit Court Judge John McAfee placed Lynn Cameron on Tuesday in the custody of Adult Protective Services.

The judge's order gives the Department of Human Services temporary custody of Lynn until a conservatorship or guardianship can be established with the Department of Intellectual Disabilities.

For the time being, she will be cared for at the Michael Dunn Center in Roane County.

The country was outraged when she struck the deal and was set free. After the fact videos were found which shows karla being more than an innocent terrified bystander in it all. Rumors have been rife for a while that she was living the good life in Barbados with a husband and kids. She doesn't deserve to be free, i just hope she treats her children properly.

On a side note, other killers are said to have been obsessed with her, Michael Rafferty talked about her and Paul and downloaded the film Homolka shortly after abducting and killing Tori Stafford.
Luka Magnotta also started the rumors that he dated her to put himself in the spotlight and then of course denied it.

She then allegedly hit the girl in the stomach with a milk jug, kicked her and beat her with a shoe and a belt.

Police said that numerous people had seen the suspect inflict pain on her daughter in the past.

Oh. My. God. What a gorgeous baby. So many people can't have children and would cut off an appendage to have one and yet, these people have babies and torture, beat, neglect them. Friends of mine are struggling with infertility and are wonderful people, it hardly seems fair.
Just shut up. Just shut the fuck up right now.

She glued her fucking hands to the wall?!?! Now THAT is some twisted, sick shit! How does one even come up with that idea? I doubt you have to subdue a 2-YEAR-OLD in order to beat her into a coma. I hope the child makes it through without any permanent damage and is adopted by people who will love her and take care of her the way a child is supposed to be loved.

TAMPA — A woman was arrested Tuesday after leaving her children inside an unlocked car while she watched a dance inside a strip club, police said.

Officers were called to the Mons Venus strip club, 2040 N Dale Mabry Highway, at about 7 p.m., where they spotted two children, a 5-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl, inside an unlocked Ford F-150.

When they opened the door, the children said, "I'm bleeding," an arrest report says. Both had scratches and the boy was crying. The truck smelled of alcohol. Officers found a can of malt liquor inside.

Officers found their mother intoxicated inside the club watching a dance, the report says.

Brandi Jo Roman, 28, of Tampa told officers that she entered the club to have more drinks and left her son and daughter watching a movie inside the car.

Club owner Joe Redner said one his customers spotted Roman's children in the car and went across the street to a parked police cruiser to report her.

Roman tried to enter the club, asked the cover amount and went back to her car to get more money to pay the $20 cover, Redner said Wednesday.

"She paid some of it in quarters," he said. "My manager saw how inebriated she was and we didn't want her to go back to the car and drive away with those kids in that state."

So they let Roman in just long enough for her to order a drink and the police to arrive.

"She wasn't even there long enough to know we don't serve alcohol," Redner said.

Roman was arrested at the club and faces two charges of child neglect.

She was booked into the Hillsborough County jail, where she remained Wednesday in lieu of $2,000 bail.

The Florida Department of Children and Families has custody of the children, police said.

My ex was the super on the Flemings restaraunt near there. That is a decidedly seedy strip of nudie joints and fleabag hotels. What did the children have scratches from, does anyone know? Those kids are damn lucky someone didn't take them.

NEW PORT RICHEY FLA. - A New Port Richey mother admitted to police she left three kids home alone -- one as young as ten months old -- while she went to a neighbor's house for sex.

The Pasco County Sheriff's Office says while Crystal Rusaw was out, the kids wandered from the house, up the street, and crossed a busy highway.

Investigators say a witness may have saved their lives by stopping them and getting help.

The kids range in age from four years to ten months. Investigators say the youngest was only wearing a urine-filled diaper.

Rusaw later admitted to leaving the kids to go to a neighbor's house for sex, where she also fell asleep.

"It could have been tragic," said Joan Miller, who was almost brought to tears when she learned what happened. "It's just unbelievable."

Other neighbors weren't surprised by the arrest, saying they have seen the children playing in the street by themselves 'all the time.'

"I just see toys, and little kids always running and walking, and riding bicycles unsupervised down the street," says William Gray who lives down the street.

Deputies arrested Rusaw on Saturday. She has since bonded out of jail. Nobody appeared to be at her home Monday evening.

ABC Action News spoke briefly to Rusaw's boyfriend off-camera. He said he was out of town all last week and found out what happened when he returned.

He tells us the children are staying with a relative.
