She knew they were in their beds sleeping but didnt notice the room was fucking freezing? If it was that cold outside you'd feel that draft without even opening the bedroom door. Irks me that she was set free, not even some kind of neglect or endangerment charge... RIP Big Sister, hope the baby is doing ok

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A Jacksonville Beach mother is accused of selling her six-year-old daughter for sex so she could get drugs.

Dalina Nicholas is being held in jail in Columbus, Georgia. Jacksonville Beach Police say she let two other men have sex with her daughter in exchange for crack cocaine. The incident allegedly happened in Nicholas' home on South 6th Street.

The Department of Children and Families says the child is now in the care of relatives.

“We certainly understand that the community is disturbed by this case and we need to investigate it thoroughly,” said John Harrell with DCF.

Harrell says the agency has had its eye on Nicholas since mid-January.

“I just can’t believe it,” said neighbor and mother of two, Maria Sullo.

“I thought it was gross and the fact that the little girl was 6-years-old sends chills down my spine because no 6-year-old should have to go through that,” said neighbor April Whisman.

Neighbors say the family has not lived in their apartment for a couple weeks. In fact, we found lots of toys piled up in a dumpster in the backyard.

"You talk about the emotional pain, which lasts a lot longer than the physical pain and that's certainly why long term services for the girl are necessary and they're important,” said Harrell.

John Hagans, 47, and Quinn Brooks, 56, have been arrested for their involvement. They are in jail charged with sexual battery charges.

how the fuck do you FORGET a child and not do at least a head count when you have 10 kids? this female is full of shit.

(CNN) -- A mother of 10 who threw a birthday party for her 5-year-old daughter at a Chuck E. Cheese's restaurant in suburban Houston, Texas, apparently forgot about the girl, went home without her and failed to realize her mistake until the next day, police said Friday.

"She was remorseful. She was upset," Pearland police investigator Jeff Mink said by phone. "But the question still arises, how and why the child was left behind? And why it took so long for the mother to realize the child was still missing?"

A restaurant worker alerted police to the abandoned child at 10:50 p.m. Thursday, but the mother did not report her missing until 7:50 a.m. Friday, Mink said.

The woman left the restaurant at 10 p.m. with her other nine children and it wasn't until she was getting them ready for school the next morning that she realized her mistake, Mink said. He added that the mother, a relative and a friend were the only adults involved in hosting the event, which was attended by 19 children

Police planned to analyze surveillance video from the restaurant before deciding whether to file charges against the mother, who has no record, Mink said.

Meanwhile, the child has been placed in the custody of Child Protection Services.

Restaurant staff referred media calls to the chain's home office, which was closed at the time.

the child is Azana Jackson.
i'm waiting to get photo and name of mother.

A woman who locked her 14-year-old son in a squalid trailer and fed him just a few times a week has been jailed for three years.

Amanda Jolliff, 37, pleaded guilty to false imprisonment and child abuse after police found the boy living in a rodent-infested mobile home in Erie, Colorado.

Police said the boy's bedroom window was boarded up, and there was an outside lock on his bedroom door in which he had imprisoned for three and a half years.

Judge Thomas Quammen rejected a defense request for a non-prison sentence.

'Both the judge and the prosecutor said at the hearing that Jolliff will be treated more humanely in prison than her son was by her, with three square meals a day and a clean environment,' Meghan Swella, spokeswoman for the Weld County District Attorney's Office said.

Swella said the boy is now doing well in a foster home.

According to arrest warrant affidavits, the boy was discovered cowering under a neighbor's front porch last September.

The neighbor called police, who discovered that Jolliff went to New York two weeks earlier with her live-in boyfriend, leaving the boy on his own.

The boyfriend, Richard Smith, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor child abuse and was sentenced earlier to 60 days in jail, in addition to the 167 days he served after his arrest.

When police searched the home, they found mice scampering throughout the trailer and "detected an overpowering odor of animal urine and feces," the affidavit said.

In and around the residence were two dogs, four toads, a macaw, two cockatiels, a cockatoo and two ducks, police said.

The boy told police his mother would lock him inside his bedroom, letting him out just to clean up after the ducks, and that he had not attended school for three years.

mother

A boy who disappeared as a baby had been found eight years later and is set to be returned to his family.

Eight-month-old Miguel Morin was being cared for by his godmother, Krystle Tanner, at the time of his disappearance in 2004.
This week Tanner, 26, has been arrested on suspicion of kidnapping the boy, now aged eight, and Miguel has been taken in to the care of Texas Child Protection Services.
His discovery came as a surprise, since the case was officially abandoned in 2006.
mother Ms Champion-Morin, who has five other children, had fallen on hard times in November 2004 when she asked her close friend Tanner to look after Miguel overnight at her apartment in Houston.

When she went to pick him up in the morning, they had both gone, and Tanner's mother claimed they had fled Texas.

Police investigated the case but were unable to track Tanner down, and two years later the case was closed.

Miguel is said to be in good health, and will be re-united with his family after his mother takes a DNA test proving that he is her son.
He is believed never to have attended school, and to have been called names like 'Dirty' by Tanner.

Tulsa OK

A woman who was arrested Wednesday on accusations that she used drugs during multiple pregnancies has lost custody of seven children over drug or abuse allegations since 1997, Tulsa police said.

Daiquiri Dawn Miller, 34, told authorities that she used cocaine, marijuana and alcohol every day during her latest pregnancy, a court affidavit shows. Her youngest son tested positive for cocaine after his birth March 31.

She also had children in 2010, 2009 and 2000 who tested positive for cocaine or marijuana at birth, and had infants who were taken for other reasons in 2006, 1999 and 1997, Cpl. Greg Smith said.

Miller, also known as Daiquiri Pearson, was charged Wednesday with one count of child neglect in the three most recent births but has not been charged in the older cases because of the state's statute of limitations, Smith said.

She was arrested about 5:45 p.m. Wednesday and booked into the Tulsa Jail with bail set at $250,500, records show.

She also faces two prostitution complaints and is accused of soliciting sex from an undercover police officer while pregnant in February, according to records. She has been arrested in Tulsa five other times since 2006 on prostitution complaints.

Police believe that four to six men have fathered children with Miller, Smith said.

She gave birth to her three youngest children at the OSU Medical Center, where doctors administered the drug tests and social workers then notified the Department of Human Services, an affidavit shows.

Social workers at the hospital were familiar with Miller from past drug-related incidents, the document says.

During an interview with a DHS investigator after the 2009 birth, Miller asked, "So are you taking him, or what?" and told an investigator after the 2010 birth that she made a mistake in using cocaine during the pregnancy but had not used it for 18 months.

She told an investigator two days after her latest birth that she "wondered what took so long" for DHS to take the child, the document says.

Miller's three youngest children were taken into protective custody immediately after the DHS interviews, according to the affidavit.

Miller's first child was taken in 1997 after suffering a suspicious broken leg at 3 months old, Smith said.

Another infant was taken in 1999 on fears of neglect because of Miller's drug use, he said.

In 2006, police found Miller smoking cocaine with a man next to her 4-month-old daughter in a car parked in an alley, he said.

The affidavit says Miller has failed to complete drug counseling and parenting classes offered by DHS more than once over the years.

Court records show that she was married to Maurice Jack Miller from 2000 to 2007, when he filed for divorce.

She was in prison from 2001 to 2003 on a conviction of possessing a stolen vehicle, according to Department of Corrections records.

Oklahoma law allows for child abuse convictions to be punished by one year to life in prison, a $500-$5,000 fine or both.

Fox
A New Jersey mother was charged with child endangerment over accusations she let her 5-year-old daughter use a stand-up tanning booth, Fox affiliate WNYW reported Wednesday.

Police arrested Patricia Krentcil, 44, of Nutley, N.J., after they were called to her daughter's elementary school on April 24.

The girl, named Anna, reportedly told the school nurse she was in pain from burns she suffered while "tanning with mommy."

But a deeply tanned Krentcil told WCBS it was simply a misunderstanding.

Though she admitted Anna had been in the room at the tanning salon, she denied the fair-skinned girl had entered the booth.

"There's not room ... I would never permit it ... It didn't happen," the mom said. "It's preposterous."

Krentcil said the child's sunburn was a result of playing outside on a sunny day.

New Jersey law prohibits anyone under the age of 14 from using tanning salons.

Krentcil posted $25,000 bond and was released to authorities in Camden County, where she had an outstanding warrant on a municipal charge.

Cute kid. I looked at the photos first and actually thought the woman was her grandmother or great-grandmother until I read the article. She looks 20 years older than her 44 years, imo. Jesus, what a freak.

Look at those dark spots around her mouth. I bet she has skin cancer.

Her daughter is a red head and very fair skinned. I bet she burned in a matter of minutes.

Coming Up: The National Parents Proficiency Exam.

You should have to pass this before you're allowed to take possession of what you give birth to.

Better to administer that test before allowing a pregnancy to procede
