Jerry Perdomo, 31, Fla. murdered in Maine
#41
Maine State Police say foul play is suspected in the disappearance of a Florida firefighter who’s been missing in Maine since Feb. 16.

State Police detectives and Bangor police have been searching a home in the Waldo County town of Jackson this weekend, which is believed to be where Jerry Perdomo of Orange City, Fla., was last seen.

The house is owned by the father of 24-year-old Daniel Porter, of Bangor. Porter and his 25-year-old girlfriend, Cheyanne Nowak, may have been the last ones to see Perdomo.

Detectives were processing the home for clues on Perdomo’s whereabouts. Porter and Nowak were located and interviewed in Connecticut by detectives last week and have now returned to Maine.

State police have also impounded three vehicles in connection with Perdomo’s disappearance.

Good catch. I can't imagine saying "sorry for your loss" to a family member of a missing person unless you know the missing person is not alive.

I don't like how easy it is to die and/or come up missing. Here today, gone tomorrow. That bothers me, makes me feel uneasy all over again.

People who travel for sex and drugs are always at risk.

The guy is probably dead and his wife has been shamed and other people are guilty of horrible things. Nobody won.

Keep your dick in your pants.

Fox 35’s exclusive video shows the Maine State Police Department’s Underwater Recovery Unit geared up in wet suits behind this home in Jackson -- drilling holes through the snow and ice, and going under water, meanwhile the state police department’s major crimes unit spent the day processing inside the home .

“They’re down there, they’ll do what they want, they know I own the property, so they’ll come up if they want me,” said Brenda Dennison, who owns the home being investigated.

Dennison tell us she was renting it out to Gary porter, and says she’s seen Daniel Porter at the home within the last week.

Perdomo's wife is going to speak to the media at 2 PM eastern today. i am not certain what her purpose is, but i do know there is idle speculation about drug-running and her possible awareness of that and the Maine girlfriend. she may want to try to quash some of the rumors.

she is a local Fla. teacher and has 2 children, ages 10 and 3.

edit to add: AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) -- Police in Maine are going to update the public about their search for a Florida firefighter whose Feb. 16 disappearance is now considered to be a crime.

State Police detectives and Bangor police are planning a 2 p.m. news conference to give an update on their search for Jerry Perdomo of Orange City, Fla.

Over the weekend police searched a home in the Waldo County town of Jackson where it is believed Perdomo was last seen.

i'll watch for both pressers. especially police.

Right, incidents like this (among others, usually involving a young female victim such as myself) make me seriously consider buying a gun n getting a CCL. Just because you never kno. The main reason(s) i havent is because i have major depression, and i worry about slipping into a deep dark hole in the future. That and my dad took his life with a shotgun. I've grown up in a rather progun house. Mom was a police seargant, and my dad used to have a gun collection. In fact i have a pic of myself as a tot holding his (unloaded) uzi right before they were outlawed and mama made him turn it in. Anyways, to finish up my rambling i would def have a concealed carry if i trusted myself more. Can anyone here relate to this? Got rather off topic, sorry bout that lc.

But basically it all sprang from reading duchess' post. You neverrrr know.

I wouldnt be shocked if it turned out he was selling rx pills. Monthly trips of over 2000 miles (round trip. If i remember correctly florida is about 1000mi from ohio, maine obviously is even further) it seems a bit much for some sideline pussy. This is weird/interesting case. Hoping for the best.

LC - Have you checked the background or has anyone checked the background of Mr. Porter and his father. (the one who was just released from jail??)

Odd how just 2 months ago they were waiting outside a jail for 5 hours for the father of Porter. They will DEF make the victim out to be the bad guy here, no doubt about it!!!

The girlfriend...sounds like she is NOT being truthful with everything. I dont believe she was his "girlfriend" and he was going up there for pussy! I think she is just a female that is trying to keep the pressure off the suspects!

....."They’re down there, they’ll do what they want, they know I own the property, so they’ll come up if they want me,” said Brenda Dennison, who owns the home being investigated......"

So who in fact is the owner of the home? Daniel Porter's father...or Brenda Dennison? What relation?

I just found this article in the NY Post that stated:

“Neighbor said Porter's dad, Gary, had been traveling since the fall, and that Daniel had been keeping an eye on the place.”

HAHAHA His father just got out of jail in December 2011. Little did they know!!!

"A close friend of Perdomo's told WFTV reporter Bianca Castro that he knows what happened. ...He said Perdomo went to Bangor to sell prescription pills and had made the trip before. He also said Perdomo mentioned the only person of interest's name, Daniel Porter, just weeks before his trip."
