Summer Wyatt 15, Michigan. found safe.
#21
LAMBERTVILLE, MI (WTOL) - The Monroe County Sheriff's Office has release a statement announcing the safe return home of Lambertville, MI teen Summer Wyatt.

Wyatt has been reported missing since February 20. She was found by Detective Heath Velliquete and Jeffery Pauli at around 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

She has been safely reunited with her parents, and no foul play is suspected

***Her brothers facebook states that their oldest sister new where she was all along, and he even names the girl who's house Summer was staying at. He is beyond pissed off that his own sister could watch him and his family think the worst of this situation and NEVER say a word to them. Poor kid.

Lambertville has a population of 10,000? Where was this girl hiding all this time? I hate to blame her but what the fuck was she thinking? 44 days and you (or your sister) don't let the rest of your family know where you are or at least that you're safe?

If you read on Summers' personal fb page, there are accusations being cast at the mother for abuse. The oldest daughter comments that she finally told the truth to the authorities today.

Quite the info being posted on Summer and her little Brother Lucas' fb pages. Should be interesting to see if the mother is brought up on any charges...

Great job by the Detectives'!! if they had not found her are we to believe this hide game would have continued on here? Can Mrs. Klecot be charged with anything here? This woman has 4 children and is divorced from Mr. Klecot and she has had Summer Wyatt living there for 44 days - Summer's father has been to every Hotel in Toledo and her mother drove to Eastern Ohio with missing fliers of her daughter. The father and mother were frantic!! Something is terribly wrong here with this picture.
What a cruel stunt on all of us!

Eileen, thanks for keeping us posted on this story. My gosh what a shock! Summer is right under their nose. If there was abuse why would it take 44 days to tell authorities?

Ok - I know there have been rumored allegations of abuse by the mother. If those rumors are untrue and I was the mother - after spending a few days enjoying the fact that my daughter was home, there would be some serious reprocussions for her actions.

Contact between her and her older sister would be on a supervised basis only - if I even allowed contact because what the older sister did was inexcusable. There would be no computer, no cell phone and visits with friends at MY house only.

I would be so far up her ass, you'd need a crowbar to get me out. I would personally drop her off and pick her up from school. She would be accompanied to the bathroom - maybe this is an exaggeration. You get the point.

How dare she put her family through 44 days of torture - I don't care what her mother did to her (if anything); it is no excuse for her to have ripped her brother's heart from his chest. In this day & age of social networking, we all know that this girl read every message and post that we did and she still didn't call, reply, nothing - what the fuck is wrong with her?

as well as volunteer searchers and police resources... which she should have to reimburse. after she gets her ass beaten with a pointy stick.

This entire situation makes me sick on so many levels. I'm with LC on how this teen could live each day knowing her family was beside themselves with worry, and thinking she might be dead. How another family could hide a child knowing her parents/siblings etc were FRANTIC, and this person is a PARENT themselves!!! As for the alleged abuse, I certainly hope there is an investigation into this claim. I don't know what to think at this point. Either Summer or her mother is lying, and at this time either could be doing so out of fear for the consequences.

As for the parent who hid Summer at her house for 44 days:
I believe it is a felony in Michigan to harbor a runaway. It was mentioned on the Bring Summer Home Safe page that authorities were not pressing any charges, but that her mother could do so. Not sure if that is accurate though. If this parent really believed Summer was being abused she should have went to the authorities. There are correct ways to deal with these situations and her way was not one of them! Apparently, the son of this parent is claiming that Summer went to the authorities prior to running away(not sure when) and told them she was abused, and they supposedly told her she had to go back home...which is why this family is claiming they hid her.

I'm curious to see how this turns out...

wow wtf. this will sound "insensitive", i'm sure...but omg what little bitches. the older sister knows the whole time, as does anyone living in the house where she was hiding...and of course she knew the panic this lil stunt would incite.

this is plain, straight-up fuckery.
