I care about fairness & it's fair to let those people marry. I don't see any GOOD reason to prevent them from doing so and I'm very surprised that you fully support that given you don't want the government involved in our homes & bedrooms.

As for me and my house we will continue to support Marriage as being between 1 man and 1 woman.

That opinion on what I believe concerning Marriage was not brought to you by a Government source.

Marriage is a civil union.

It is both made and dissolved in civil proceedings.

The reason civil unions started to begin with was originated in Vermont btw, when it was discovered that two women who were living together for years (one worked at a place that had insurance the other worked at a place that didnt) weren't allowed equal protection under the law. The woman who worked was insured, and when her partner got sick they wouldn't extend her coverage to the partner. This couple owned everything else together. Joint bank accounts, joint car and property ownership, joint debts, joint mortgage on the house, both names on the utility bills, etc., all of which were allowed under the law.

The woman sued the state (she was a state employee) and won and the extrapolation became the first civil union law in America. It wasn't about sexual relations, it was about equal rights for all people under the law.
