#1
Ok, I would really love to discuss this subject here in Mock.

The LOUD christian right are against it and it's a done deal.

What say you Mockers?

Thank you LC for the link.

I was on a christian artists webpage today and this discussion started up. You never heard so much mudslinging and hatred against gays in your life. The christian right are very LOUD. They are the LOUDEST in the room, and can be the nastiest. If you say that you like gay people and that hating them is not right they call you a "so called" christian.

I think this christian artist (who I actually like, I read their book), is nudge nudge wink wink telling people to vote for Romney because he has 'christian values' as opposed to someone who calls themselves a 'christian' who is not!

The christian component of this election will heat up and I think become a key issue.

The gay marriage debate has reignited in this country after you guys have raised this question again.

For the record, I don't think Romney can beat a bunch of irate drag queens, I don't care how much money they throw at him.

Those that profess to being godly are always fucked in the head. The God they talk about is not the one I'm familiar with. They are full of shit, Aussie.

I have seen so much hypocrisy in my life, it makes me vomit.

I'm a hypocrite about some things & I cheerfully admit to it. I just posted something this morning that would indicate just what a hypocrite I actually am but it doesn't bother me...only other people. heh heh

I say "Love don't Judge" Any God one worships would never be as evil as the Christians that feel everything should be as THEY see it. Bullshit

Be gay all day, its no business of mine. My good friend is gay. He doesn't want to get married bc his partner makes him crazy, but if he did, id stand up with him. Everyone has the right to be happy, haven't they? I'm not very religious but the god I grew up with loved us all, no matter what.
Just shut up. Just shut the fuck up right now.

Create yourself an imaginary friend and people will call you crazy. Create yourself an imaginary friend and build yourself a building to worship him in and people will call you religious.

It's the religious fanatics that ruin it for normal people.

The age old lie lives.

if you're not married by the time you're 20 you're an old maid.
Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.

Who cares?, gay marriage has absolutely no effect on me whatsoever.

Busybodies care. People without a life to be actively involved in care. People who want to shove their way down your throat care.

It's 30 dumbass. If you are not married by the time you are 30, you're a spinster.

Then we have the Cracker's of the world that are divorced by the time they are 30.

I'm conservative by nature, so naturally, I'm supposed to be predisposed to not wanting to allow gays to marry.

However, the more I think about it, I cannot figure out WHY it shouldn't be allowed to happen.

I'm not here on this earth to judge others, and any TRUE Christian should, by definition, certainly feel the same.

Not a single person, regardless of race, color, creed or sexual orientation has earned their way into 'heaven' on their own 'merit'.

If you're a believer, you know the only true way in, is simply by 'grace'.

Bill Hicks said it best " "Hey me and my buddies are Christians and we don't like what you do."
"Then forgive me."
Thank god I am oblivious to the opinions of others while caught in the blinding splendor of my own cleverness.
