Gay Marriage / Gay Rights

People who create sites like this are supposed to have at least a modicum of intelligence. Please enucleate (just a little) how you lost your judgement.

You haven't successfully defined anything as "immorality" yet. What's your criteria? Those selfsame scriptures? Or some equally arbitrary reason that only allows for strangers you have no interaction with to behave as you would approve?

You're kidding? You want a dialogue with haters?

Jesus taught that we were/ARE all one.

I'm sticking with that, if we're talking spirituality.

Not much of a dialogue. Do they realize that under church canon Mary, his wife, didn't exist and Jesis spent all his time with twelve other men?

They have the right to get married like everyone else. A women married a fucking dolphin in Israel, let man marry a man and a women marry a women. People have evolved, the bible hasn't.
The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

dolphins have a bunch of penises iirc

I think the dolphins name was Cindy, but was a male, maybe had identity issues.... I remember reading how the 'Bride' made a point of saying she is not a pervert, I think she was lying of dolphins to have multiple penis'.

My gawd imagine if all you men had multiple ones, you could play with a different one each day, would also give a whole new meaning to flashing.

One of the things that separates humans from animals is that we can successfully do things like manipulate environments, modify nature, etc. It may be "intended" that disease, weather, and wars wipe out a third of our population every few hundred years but we don't have to avoid preventing it. Stopping impregnation with birth control is another great example. It may not have been intended that humans colonize a moon or another planet but that should not necessarily stop us from trying.

How things are, used to be, or are intended is just no longer an acceptable or convincing line of reasoning in the 21st century. Most clear-thinking modern individuals who respect good reasons, good evidence, and good arguments over things like good adherence to scripture or the way things were intended, find your kind of arguments against things like equality for homosexuals to be both tiresome and immoral.

?? MF, little confused. Was this post meant to be in response to post 45 upthread?

That post pissed me the fuck off.

Reading through the thread, immediately appeared to me that MF just quoted the wrong post - done it myself a couple of times. Post 45 talks about scripture and the way things were intended. I could be wrong though; done that more than a couple of times myself. Smiley_emoticons_razz

People who are members of the gay community pay taxes to your government. They have a say on how the laws and how your government is run. They vote, they have a voice, so they should be represented and they should be allowed to be part of your social structure, of course.

It was a phone-caused typo but since the real guy's name wasn't anything close to "Jesus" I didn't bother to fix it.

I think a lot of progress has been made in that area. It wasn't too long ago that gays had to hide their true selves and if they met for a drink in a club they were subject to police busts and paraded out on the street and put into police vans and shamed. Stonewall was a turning point and it's never been the same since. Gays didn't look back, they moved center stage and in your face and it's what American society hated but needed all the same for healing.

Whoops, sorry. I meant to quote Dick:

(05-29-2012, 10:51 AM)IMaDick Wrote: It seems to me that the people of Israel were brought out of slavery, and that 2 cities were destroyed because of their complete corruption.

It also seems to me that the bible makes marriage very definitely between one man and one woman.

The qualifications of an elder or deacon and that of a pastor are pretty frickin specific.

But putting religion aside and just dealing with things as they are people are born with entrances and exits, females have two entrances and 1 exit, males have one entrance and one exit.

I trust the signs to be accurate for how things were intended to be.

Now given that women simply don't possess any natural equipment that can be considered invasive, by process of elimination you are admitting there is one hole on your body where it would be okay to take a meat injection.

So which is it, dick ol' buddy? Which of your holes is acceptable as an entrance? Are you a sword swallower? Or a Big butt-inski? Ma says you want it real bad in the neck, but that's a whole other topic...

You projecting your homosexuality on to me is really not going to make you the winner no matter what username thinks.

For some strange reason if a person opposes homosexuality the homo's think that is repressed homosexuality, if that is true then you are repressing your hetrosexual self, my advice is let the man out that is what you were born as and that is what you will die as.

unless you follow MF's advice and take advantage of the modern and go have your dick turned into a pussy.

Let me know when you get that done because until you do you're a man by gender, homo by choice and a fucking disappointment to your mom.
Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.

Bullshit. A big, fat pile of crap.

You don't get to choose what your sexuality is. Thank Christ most parents don't feel as you do & still love their children regardless of their sexuality.

Know what else is funny, dick? I just noticed you have the word "dick" as part of your posting name, so I've technically been addressing you by name all this time. And here I thought it was just an extraordinarily appropriate adjective.
So your defense against admitting you consider one of your holes a sexual entrance is to call me a fag? Considering how you're only the fifth or sixth person to try that with me, and I've been publicly stating I'm neither threatened nor bothered by gay people, what makes you think that's gonna have any effect? Are you twelve?Seriously dude, grow up. And stop spending so much time thinking about whatever your neighbors might be doing in the bedroom.
Thank god I am oblivious to the opinions of others while caught in the blinding splendor of my own cleverness.

Dick, are you a closet fag? Most of the gay-but-wont-admit it gays say that same exact shit until they realize they are what they are. Or maybe you aren't secure enough with your "manhood' and feel threatened by gay men and/or women. Either way, your attitude is deplorable. Come out of the closet, dick. Its 2012.
Just shut up. Just shut the fuck up right now.
