Hey Mr. Legend,

If you're reading this, sure hope you feel like coming on home soon. Since you've been gone, we've been missing a valuable viewpoint (though a total pain in the ass at the same time), imo...

FWIW, I'm now slightly leaning towards voting Republican only because I think VP Candidate Ryan has what it takes to stop this country from going further into spiraling debt (though not as quickly as most of us would like). BUT, also really struggling with the Republican party's stance on many "female/couples" issues. It matters, as you (should ) know.

At this point, the voting decision is beyond anything to do with Holder or birth certificates or tax returns, imo... Screw the side issues and focus on who can jump start this economy, without depending on us taxpayers to fund/create jobs to put us taxpayers back to work - vicious cycle, as you've pointed out. I kinda wanna talk Syria, Libya and China - the candidates aren't too far off from each other on foreign policy, but I bet we are with each other. Smiley_emoticons_wink

Seriously wishing Mr. Ron Paul had a chance in hell at this point; I would (and still might) vote for the old man, even though he's a bit scary in his fundamentalism, like you.

So, get back here JoJo , if you feel like it. Still very interested in your POV, mofo. Really hope you're well.

Nice job HotD with Neil Young and the Beatles.

Interesting story about my parents. First off, my dad will be just 64 in October and my mom 65 also in October. I just turned 46. So, in high school, my dad was in a band that performed a ton of Beatles tunes. My mom was somewhat of a sucker for guys in bands. Even to this day, my dad sounds like McCatney when he sings.

So, though I've never been given the specific details of how/when they hooked up, I'm sure it had everything to do with music.

They were so young, and I ended up spending 9 months in a foster home with an amazing family (so I'm told) with 3 little girls. My parents ended up eloping and taking me back in 1967. They tried to make it work for almost 3 years, but eventually went their separate ways.

So, when I hear Beatles tunes or more specifically see Paul perform it brings me back to those early years.

I just saw your post, MS. Interesting family history.

In honor of your parents, two Beatles songs that I think are romantic and sensual from back in the day.

Oh, Darlin (video photo collage)

Something - George Harrison acoustic version (photo and video collage)

P.s. there is a lot of seriously great music in this thread...

Caravan live. Love3
Never seen that video before. It's as sweet as Tupelo Honey.

For you, Tiki. Sax by Pee Wee Ellis.

I revisited an email I sent to LC back in June.

Sometimes I couldn't keep you bastards out of my head.

For your entertainment, I present it in full . . . with typos.

Was invited to a sneak preview of "Rock of Ages" with my gay entertainment writer friend.

All I could think of was Dick, Maggot, Spy, HOTD, Aussie and Duchess!

Cracker, too . . . because there were no blacks babbling during the show!

Campy, predictable and fun. A Tiki thumbs-up, guilty pleasure, summertime fun romp.

And . . . I can't believe I'm saying this . . . I'd bang Tom Cruise after seeing and hearing him as a rocker!

Eye candy for both sexes . . . Zeta Jones doing "Hit Me with Your best shot" is fab.

Baldwin and Brandt are great and Cruise singing Bon Jovi is spot on.

Haven't seen (or heard) from Sam. My guess: White Mountain Cabin time.

If you hear form him, tell him these Aunt Sally Pralines ain't gonna be around much longer so he better come get 'em quick!

Mum to the airport at 2:00 . . . nails at 4:00.

Love you, doll!

Tiki, you were often thought about and mentioned by us bastards as well, especially by LC and Cracker (and MS, for different reasons, of course).

Actually, maybe Maggot's not such a bastard. Maybe. He did come through and post up his acoustic version of "Wild Horses" while you were out, in honor of Duchess's request. You can find it in the Members Only forum thread, "Dickie or Maggot for President" (not sure if I can post the link in this public thread). His song was reposted near the end of the thread recently. He's good!

P.s. Dick was supposed to post an audio or vid too, but that AWOL bastard welched...
