Been one my whole life, and I've been both immature as fuck and desperate to fuck, sometimes simultaneously. And as I've said before, guilty of a lot of the verbal shit women have to deal with daily. I'm not preaching from some high horse, I'm just acknowledging that, as a gender, we've been "that fuckin douchebag" for far too long and maybe we ought to stop pretending that equates to manhood. And stop making excuses for it.

Right on, Donovan!

I’d guess almost every woman here has a story or stories plural of varying levels of assault by men that we just live with. Way too normalized part of being a woman.

On the other hand both my husband and son have had women touch them and say inappropriate things, although I know that it doesn't happen often to men. My crazy ass, one eyed lawn lady used to feel my husband up when he'd leave for work. He started sneaking out to his truck when she was around back.

That made me think of the school teachers who screw around with their students, society wants the male teacher hung in the town square, but when the teacher is a woman the reaction is often wildly different.

My youngest son used to be a front end supervisor for a grocery store,  and old people used to touch his hair and grab his ass all the time.  He also used to get propositioned by creepy old men.  Whenever he complained to the store manager,  he was told there was nothing they could do about it.   (I mean,  not even ban the repeat offenders from shopping there)

I think it happens to guys a lot more than we realize.

I went to a wine bar with my son and oldest daughter and some drunk woman grabbed him down there and said you're going home with me tonight. He's 24 and can do what he wants, but I was like the hell he is.

I just read this - "my withdrawal of consent occurred in the middle of sex".

Luckily the law disagrees with ignoramous statements. The definition is "without consent" I mean, holy deficit douchebag.
It's pretty straightforward.

At a recent-ish college orientation talk to students they had hilarious and pretty good analogy to ordering/eating pizza.

She says hungry for pizza.
Discusses with guy what kind of pizza.
Orders pizza.
Pizza’s delivered. She said it looked really good but just isn’t hungry anymore.
She doesn’t need to eat it.

She could have even taken a few bites and decided she’s done.
Not required to have one more bite.

She also could eat the whole fucking pizza and order another and eat that whole thing too. That’s equally ok.

(Used “she” in example but could also substitute “he” in the same example.)

And she can eat pizza from various boxes and then try the breadsticks next if she wants.
