Tmz just tweeted a out a minute ago that Prince is dead.
I just heard that 9:30 this morning, he was 57 Prince is dead.
I drive by Paisley Park every time I go to the gym. Apparently, that's where his body was found.
Never was a fan, but will respectfully say RIP. Did not see this one coming
Is it just me, or does it seem Rock has lost a lot this year.

Holy shit!
I was a big fan of Prince. He seemed like a weird reclusive guy, but I loved his music (even watched the Purple Rain movie a couple of times as a teenager). RIP.
I just read a few days ago that he was hospitalized after his plane made an emergency landing, but he was fine and released from the hospital. And now he's dead. Weird.
Maybe the hospital released him when they shouldn't have. They're good for that.

Holy shit!

I know, it has come through on the morning news when I was finishing work. It has literally knocked the wind out of me. This is totally shocking.

It annoyed me that those around me sort of shrugged their shoulders and carry on about normal shit. Old boilers.
hah Did you kick-em?
All these deep cuts people are playing of his jams onstage have made me realize what a damn good musician dude was. His radio play didn't really do him justice. I knew he wrote a shit ton of pop hits for other people, but damn, he could really play.

John ripped this off for the Students at the Musicians Institute sometime prior to the year 2000 because he's playing an Ibenez.

Morley Safer has died, he retired only last week. I just saw a brief clip of Andrea Mitchell reporting it and she was having trouble keeping her composure :(

Morley Safer, a pillar of broadcast journalism as a member of CBS' 60 Minutes team for almost five decades, has died, the network said Thursday. He was 84.

Safer, who helped change Americans' perception of the Vietnam War in 1965 with an eye-opening report about the torching of the village of Cam Ne.

Safer started with CBS News in 1964. He announced his retirement in May at the end of his 46th season with 60 Minutes; his last piece for the newsmagazine, a profile of Danish architect Bjarke Ingels, had aired two months earlier.

"After more than 50 years of broadcasting on CBS News and 60 Minutes, I have decided to retire. It's been a wonderful run, but the time has come to say goodbye to all of my friends at CBS and the dozens of people who kept me on the air," Safer said. "But most of all, I thank the millions of people who have been loyal to our broadcast."

Story
Beth Howland died.

Looking back I always thought she was kinda hot as a kid. Come to think of it, as a thirty something ditzy brunette waitress/teacher type she was always pretty much my wheelhouse later on too. So was my first roommate, and my wife. I wonder if I've just been trying to fuck Vera all these years?

I liked Flo. I would have licked her pussy clean while she was giving Mel a blow job.
Not really, but it was a good thought.
Stow it, Alice.
We're so old and another day closer to death. I'm guessing if I asked my 18 or 22 year old about Alice they wouldn't have a fucking clue what I was talking about.
