Am I the only one who thought Shirley Temple was already dead?

The last surviving Munchkin from the Wizard of Oz died recently.

Priorities people!

I thought she was dead too & I thought the same about Sid.
Just reading she was a US ambassador, that's pretty impressive.
Meanwhile Mickey Rooney is laughing still.

Is Mickey Rooney dead?

No. He's 93 now and has been married 8 times. He's a romantic or a glutton for punishment.
I saw him interviewed a good few years ago now and he didn't exactly seem in full control of his mental and emotional faculties.

He acted like a batshit crazy old coot.
Ralph Waite died today. He was 85. The story didn't give a COD.

Ralph Waite, who was beloved to TV viewers as the ultimate father figure, John Walton, on The Waltons, has died. He passed away at midday on Thursday at his home in South Palm Desert. He was 85.

He was nominated for an Emmy in 1978 for his portrayal of the middle-American paterfamilias. He starred on The Waltons for nine years and directed 15 episodes. "Ralph was a good honest actor and a good honest man," said actress Michael Learned, who portrayed Waite's wife Olivia on The Waltons. "He was my spiritual husband. We loved each other for over forty years. He died a working actor at the top of his game. He was a loving mentor to many and a role model to an entire generation. I'm devastated."

Story

Guitarist Bob Casale (Bob2) of Devo died of sudden heart failure today at 61 years old. He had apparently been suffering from other health problems.

Devo was a favorite of mine in junior high - weird dudes. The video for Whip It was all over MTV for quite a while back then. My dad was a fan, too (mom - not so much).

Always liked this one...
I met Devo and went to one of their concerts in February 1981. I can upload a picture of a young teenage Aussie with the leader singer!

Post that puppy up, Aussie.
I'd bet that was a fun a concert with a lot of fans in yellow raincoats, aussie.

If you've got a pic, whip it out and post it up.
I just knew HOTD would post this. Smiley_emoticons_smile Devo was different.
I am trying to find it. Will post it as soon as I get it. I am looking through some old photo albums.
