Maya Angelou died today at 86.

Like Booker T. Washington and peanut butter, was she the black woman who invented the pear?

And then waxed about it in verse?

I don't know. I don't pay attention to black people.

I don't pay attention to a lot of white, brown or red people either.
Ann B Davis died today, adding another to the list of dead people from old sitcoms that I didn't actually know were still living. Also weird: most of the cast of Brady Bunch are still breathing, but the cast of Diffrent strokes is mostly dead. Does that make God a racist?
Aw, crap, not Alice! Sam the butcher must be heartbroken that is unless he's dead too.

Vale Jim Keays..
No one mentioned the gorgeous Rik Mayall, who died of heart failure. I'm feeling old, he is from my generation.
Oh I meant to post that yesterday or the day before. Like Jim ^ though, probably not too many here knew who they were..
I really loved him, he was my favourite Young One. I read his life on wiki, and Adrienne Edmonson said the women loved him.
RIP Casey Kasem

Casey Kasem, who entertained radio listeners for almost four decades as the host of countdown shows such as "American Top 40" and "Casey's Top 40," died early Sunday

Kasem's longtime friend, Gonzalo Venecia, and his younger brother, Mouner Kasem, were also with him when he died at St. Anthony's Hospital in Gig Harbor, Washington, at 3:25 a.m. Sunday, a family member said.

Casey Kasem had been suffering from Lewy body disease, the most common type of progressive dementia after Alzheimer's.

He had recently been the subject of a bitter court battle involving three of his children by a previous marriage and his wife, Jean.

This is the #1 song on the first broadcast of his American Top 40 show back in 1970.

I loved listening to Casey when I was growing up.
I'm sad :(
Me too. I remember watching American Bandstand every week.

I think you might be confused. Casey did the Top 40 & Dick Clark did American Bandstand.

...or am I the one confused. It won't be the first time today.
don't forget he was Shaggy also.
I meant the Top 40. Blond moment.
