I personally don't have any problem with petitioning.
But, the content of this particular petition is idiotic, as are those who love it, IMO. The Olympic medals were not unfairly won just because Jenner has come out as a woman and transitioned 40 years later.
Anyway, it doesn't matter to me whether you regard Jenner as a woman, a man, or a chick with a dick. Serious answer.

I don't know... if he's keeping the twig and berries he's not really transitioning, is he?
I've always associated the term transitioning as someone going through the surgery... not just identifying themselves as a woman or crossdressing. Maybe I've misunderstood the terminology.

You've been all over this thread as much as anyone else, MS. Do you understand your own self and what makes you so interested?
I understand why some people are celebrating Jenner and why others are so offended. To understand requires actually listening and considering the many explanations people have provided, which doesn't mean you have to agree.
I don't agree with the people who let themselves be so negatively personally affected as to wanna see Jenner pay for her choices (to transition, or to manage the publicity and try to benefit from it, or to go for the glamor, or whatever) when it's easy enough to just avoid the topic and she's not hurting them. But, I think I understand them too.

Transitioning is the process of changing one's identity from one gender to the other. The name change, the hormones, the plastic surgery, and sometimes sex reassignment surgery.
If someone changes their identity from male to female, whether or not they actually keep the twigs and berries, they've transitioned.
But, some people will consider them a man if they still have a penis because they think that genitalia alone determines gender. And, some people will still consider them a man even if they have the sex reassignment surgery because they believe the genitalia we're born with determines our gender and that's that.

His DNA will always be a mans. I'm just pissed because he killed someone and being a celebrity may give him a pass. Although there still will be civil suits, maybe he's socking away money for that and hoping to slide some of it into a secret haven before he has to give it up.

If I really feel like I'm a woman trapped in the body of a man, I can transition and become a woman. If I really feel like I'm disabled but trapped in a healthy body, I can transition and become disabled. If I really feel like I'm an equine trapped in the body of a human, I can transition to be a horse.

The birth gender can legally be changed for transgenders in many countries, including the US.

Personally, I don't give a flying fuck what Bruce Jenner wants to do. He's not a hero for it. But he doesn't derserve to be stripped of medals he won. He doesn't deserve an award either. It's not news.
