Well, I watched it. She's very articulate and she sounds quite smart. She enunciates, I like that even in a faux black. I don't care if she wants to be black but I don't think she has any business giving nappy hair advice.
I saw bits and pieces of the interview on evening news. I am all for each to his or her own...but when asked about her parents {the white ones} she said that she had no proof that they were really her parents. The interviewer asked about the birth certificate. She claimed it was not really proof, as it was dated a month after her birth.
I think she has serious mental health issues, though. Next she will be changing her name to Caitlyn and showing up on Vanity Fair

I missed that part. Whatta weirdo. I saw some black people say that if she wants to be black, let her be black but I also saw a panel of blacks who are pretty much pissed at her for having the audacity to pose as black. They say even while posing black the white girl gets all the breaks. 
If you have something in your past that is huge, that could be exposed, why go for such a profile position? She was bound to get found out eventually. Really this shouldn't even be an issue and talked about, but it is, because racism exists on both sides.
She wasn't someone who had a dark secret hidden and took the risk of being exposed by going for a high profile position, aussie.
She literally created a dark outright persona and invented a false history in order to attain such a profile position. She most likely couldn't have had the latter without the former, at least in her mind.

^ Dolezal openly preached racial discrimination against whites on her ride to the top of the activism ladder.
She milked it for 10 years and now she seems to be enjoying the spotlight attached to being exposed.
Her conning mindset and the rationalizations of her supporters are more interesting to me, personally, than the fact that she used race to fake her way into a position of leadership and attention.
Oh I have no doubt that she will now encounter reverse racism the other way now. Maybe on a subconcious level it was a self destructive action. She had to know that it would be exposed one day, the world being the way it is. She wanted the position with all the perks and favours this position delivers and wanting to be black too. She could have had a good job that wasn't high profile then it wouldn't have been exposed the way it did, with that real GOTCHA! moment when she was caught out on camera.

Well, she "resigned" from the NAACP on Monday.
Yesterday, Washington University, where she'd taught African studies, released a statement that "Rachel Dolezal is no longer working here".
And, today, looks like she's on the brink of losing the Police Ombudsman gig too. But, not over the race fraud alone -- she was under investigation as a result of whistle-blower complaints back in April.

However, I read an article about Ezra (Rachel's adopted brother), and he states she started to change her appearance in 2011, and told him not to 'Blow her cover' in 2012. That's only going back 4 years.
I still have an issue with the parents just sitting back and letting her lie about them for years.
