I don't get the sense that Dr. Ford and Debbie Ramirez are political operatives or stooges.   None of the background on them points in that direction.

But, if they are, there will likely be evidence of it and it will be a huge black mark on the Dems.

In any case, it rings very hollow to me when people assume and insist that this is obviously just a Democrat hit job, especially when the people making that claim have been propagating smears on Democrats for years on end.

"Barry (Obama) is illegitimate and probably a Kenyan Muslim plant!", "Hillary Clinton is a killer and she's gonna end up behind bars when Trey Gowdy gets done with her!", "Lock Her Up!",  "Eric Holder is a criminal!", "John Podesta is pedophile", "Bill Clinton is a rapist"...and on and on and on.

I haven't seen the staunch Kavanaugh and Trump sympathizers/supporters who regularly malign Democratic leaders expressing regret or remorse for propagating such smears.

Anyway, politics have been cut-throat for as long as I can remember.  Over the last couple of years though, it seems to have gotten exceedingly more vicious and divisive by intent, from the very top levels of government to the general public.  I hope that trend changes and the country finds its way back towards the center at some point (soon) like it has in the past.
Interesting how Maggot completely disregards how many times KavaNaw has lied. His lack of candor, to put it politely, should be enough to keep him off the Supreme Court. Our jurists are supposed to be of impeccable character or at least appear that way. BK appears to be an alcoholic with a bad temper and severe entitlement issues.
“I kept playing basketball, attended classes sparingly, drank beer heavily, and tried drugs enthusiastically . . . If the high didn’t solve whatever it was that was getting you down, it could at least help you laugh at the world’s ongoing folly.”

Some of Kavanaugh's old friends / classmates are of the same opinion.  They're contacting the Senate Judiciary Committee and the press to set the record straight (since the FBI is apparently not contacting them).

In addition to the several classmates who've gone public to state that Kavanaugh lied under oath about his heavy and frequent drinking...............

1) Yesterday, three former law clerks sent a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee stating they were asked to sign a recommendation letter for Kavanaugh which was later presented as a rebuttal to the Ford allegations.

However, they had not been told of the Ford allegations at the time and are very troubled by them.

They wanted that clarified for the record and asked for the FBI investigation to be thorough.

2) Today, two male Yale classmates sent a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee retracting their names from a list of 23 alumni who vouched for his character.

They noted that they're not condemning Kavanaugh as a person or judging him guilty of sexual assault.

Instead, they are withdrawing their support for Kavanaugh's nomination because of his partisanship, disrespect of the Senate, and lack of judicious temperament during his testimony.

They do not believe he is qualified to serve on the Supreme Court.

3) Tonight, the NYT published a copy of a handwritten letter from 1983.  It pertains to plans for 'Beach Week'.

The letter was written by Kavanaugh and provided to the NYT by one of his friends. The content of the letter calls into question several of Kavanaugh's characterizations of himself under oath.

He signed the letter "FFFFF Bart" (turns out, 'Bart' was Brett's nickname in school, not just a pseudonym from Mark Judge's book).

Yes that makes HEAPS of sense doesn't it? That is why he did so terribly in classes and why he failed academically and never made the bar, or became a judge and why he has 65 women who enthusiastically supported him, because he is an alcoholic with a bad temper and entitlement issues........OR it is a bullshit narrative that the truly stupid employ and the brain-dead believe.
So for the record and so we are all completely clear, is the bar for public office:

1) That you can not have been a teenager and drunk beer and went to parties and such? Does that make you an alcoholic? Does that make you unreliable or a poor temperament? Does this make such a teenager a rapist? Just so we are clear because as far as I am aware ANYONE making such claims based on this having drunk beer as a teenager and gone to parties as equating to ANY of those conclusions is dishonest and immoral.

2) That you are not allowed to a) fight back or b) be indignant, upset and angry IF you have been accused publicly of being a rapist, serial rapist, gang rapist, based on unprovable claims and leading to threats against your family. Again if you say that this is nothing or poor form for someone to respond as Brett has then again you are dishonest and immoral.

It is not a problem to me of course but this was NEVER about what this was about. It was all about the fear from the Left that Kavenaugh may help strike down Roe vs Wade.

By the way He will get over 51 votes on Thursday and be confirmed.
I believe the FBI is done today. That was fast.

Kavenaughs writing is horrible, how could anyone be a Supreme court Justice with that kind of writing!!!!    54
Are you guys being willfully ignorant? I ask because it's been said repeatedly this is about the lying and the partisan demeanor.
A man who claims to be Dr. Ford's ex-boyfriend of six years spoke out on FOX to contradict some of her claims under oath.

If his identity is known, he should at least be vetted by the FBI by phone, and Dr. Ford should be questioned about it as well.

If this is just a ploy from the Kavanaugh camp or his claims are otherwise obviously false, it should be noted in the FBI report. If he appears credible and some/all of what he says checks out, that too should be noted in the FBI report. In my opinion.

Here's the gist:

--An alleged ex-boyfriend of Christine Blasey Ford has come forward to contradict her testimony that she was claustrophobic and had trouble flying as a result.

--The mystery ex says he lived with Ford for a time, and dated her for a period of six years, and witnessed her coaching a friend on passing a lie detector test (the friend denies that ever happened). Ford denied under oath that she had ever done so.

--The man also claimed that Ford lived in very small quarters in Hawaii and never displayed or talked about claustrophobia.

--The White House has already pounched on the alleged inconsistencies in Ford's testimony.

Gawd I hope the FBI interviewed him.

Why is kavanaugh the hill republicans want to die on? There are many more judges to choose from, one that could sail on through the confirmation process but no, it's got to be kavanaugh. Why?
One thing that kavenaugh had against him from the beginning was that Trump appointed him.
Now Kavenaugh must clear his name. The appointment right now probably means nothing. He had to go out of character during questioning to prove he was pissed at the false allegations. Who wouldn't be angry, but that was used against him. Has anyone ever seen a pissed off judge? I have a few times and kavenaugh  was meek compared to them. Judges do not just act all nice and cozy. Some will sit there and curse at a defendant. Look at judge Judy another reality star idiot.

I need to remind you, again, that Gorsuch got through with no problem.
That was before the Trump derangement syndrome became an epidemic. It has since spread like the pet rock fad did.

So..this investigation will conclude without the two key players being interviewed. Mmm'k 78

This means NOTHING. NOTHING at all. Roberts was a swinging voter. Scalia was hardline. Gorsuch and Kavanaugh are both considered hardliners by Liberals/Democrats. So no point made, at all.
